No, I'm confident in saying that it wouldn't have IMO. She would become more likable, but good character development wouldn't help her acting, especially against someone who had simply become the character herself.

I liked Nodame's spunkiness but what really amazed me was, usually when I saw a "genius" character on TV or movies, all I saw was an actress/actor *acting* as a genius (yes, as good as he is, this applies to Tamaki Hiroshi too IMO Sweat

). But not with Nodame. This may sound extremely cheesy, but she had this aura surrounding her telling me she's a true genius, and I recall I was seriously intimidated by it. That aura happened because of her acting, the way she talked, looked, played, stared, her mannerisms, everything. It was the first time ever that happened to me. The DVD doesn't have a menu, didn't expect that. I thought I would be greeted with a beautiful Juri-chan backdrop when I popped it in, but...oh well... Beaten

Still, I kinda wished someone would at least translate the photo book but no such luck too... Sad
