Inspiring is a good description for this drama.

This is a GREAT drama!! Besides the 3 main stars (Narumi, Ogata, and Takenouchi) you've got one of the best supporting casts ever. Mitsuko Baisho, Fumiyo Kohinata, Sei Hiraizumi, Yoshie Ichige. A bunch of real pros doing what they do best.

I did not see Konishi Manami in your list.... is that on purpose to test us?

 Very apropos.
I saw Ruri No Shime ep by ep as it came out the first time. But seeing it all in a row the second time was even better.
It really showcased Narumi's talent. I really liked her in Honey TO Clover also.

No, I just don't think she's in the same league yet as the people I mentioned. Hopefully someday she will be. She was good in Ruri no Shima, but not as good as those other actors. That doesn't mean I've stopped being a fan.

Her last 3 dramas (Ashita no Kita Yoshio, Pandora, and Shoni Kyumei) were all pretty good dramas. She did a good job in all of them but they all got horrible ratings. Probably because the target audience wasn't 17-21.

 Really?
I thought she was very believable in her role.
And suitably cast though perhaps it was not an overly challenging one.
Still there was a naturalness to her that I liked very much.
But then I am a fan.

Thanks Musa! It is midnight here but I am going to watch two more episodes of Ruri. And I agree with eve that manami is quite believable. At the moment I am huge fan yuzo!

LOL! Only the two. I would have continued, but then I'd have to get out of bed and find the next disc. I'll prolly finish it tonight, though.

Then there is the SP. Do you have it? For once the SP is as good as the original.

Of course, I was a tad bit disappointed that YT wasnt in the special, but it was lovely too. Kept the same feel.
