I found the link to watch ao akua..debating whether I should watch it and the other documentary since they don't have subs...I even searched on the chinese search engines (i.e. baidu, tudou, youku) since they usually have more videos with chinese subs but even that failed...
Those documentaries do have chinese subs.
What you wanna find? The sub or streaming links? I can just point you the direction.
Those pics are from a link that was posted a page to two earlier...
Whoops, my bad. Will check it out, thanks

Yeah, I love her down-to-earthness... Maybe it's grounded in her humble beginnings and the early loss of her mother...
Regardless, she's definitely the least celebrity-like celebrity I've ever seen...
Very true. I actually cried when she talked about her mom in Kagayaku Onna, and then cried even more when I recalled her interview where she said the person she wants to meet the most is her Mom...poor girl... _________________
Juri will be attending TOKYO FRIENDS PARK 2 tv show with Kimura Yoshino and Ogura Hisahiro!! Sugoi!!
We've got to see playful Juri again.
^ Too playful she caught me off guard with that high five thing
But nonetheless, I'm excited! I hope there will be high quality video just like before _________________
Her talent is not the only part that caught my attention but her personality. She seems like such a down-to-earth celebrity that is difficult to find nowadays. Juri-chan seems like the very approachable type! And she doesn't seem to be the type who's easily influenced by others and you could just tell by the way she dresses. She's not like glammed up in every appearance as that seems like the case with most J-artists. I love her style and the bubbly feel that she conveys.
I agree with everything. Unlike most celebs, Juri-chan's all about being comfortable in her own skin and being herself, instead of trying to please the others. Her choices of clothing and dresses pretty much reflect it. Also, she has quite a mix of personalities in her which -amazingly- are all genuine (at least as far as I can tell). She can be quiet, reserved and shy, or she can be loud, bubbly and bold, but one thing for sure, she's never a fake, which is why I love her personality so much _________________
I watched most of ao akua and I was so impressed that she could cook for so many people. I mean, because of her job and busy schedule, its hard to imagine that she could cook like that.
Do you guys know what she talked about during the interview (i.e. when she was sitting on the grass wearing the red sweatshirt)? And why did she cry in Hawaii?
She looked so cute in just plain t-shirt and jeans! But when she was shopping for stuff, she looked like she was wearing a bath robe (long red plaid)...lol
If you know Chinese, there's a hardsubbed version of The Making of Maui floating around somewhere. *edit: Ok... found it.

And this is for the main short movie, I haven't downloaded this one yet, but if the Making has subtitles than this one should be the same.

Before she cooked, she said something along "Clearly, I can't cook and I still have to cook for 10 people..." lol Well, although it's not her specialty, she clearly can. And yea, I'm also impressed, I also felt inspired when I saw that.
I hated cooking myself and this was what I always -arrogantly- told my Mom who often nagged me to learn cooking, "I can make money and I'm good at why I do, but cooking is not part of it so please don't bother..." When I looked back, I'm so ashamed now. It actually took someone younger than me to change me for the better. Although I'm still learning, I can cook now (Mom was very surprised and delighted lol)...all thanks to Juri-chan. I was so stubborn, without her, I wouldn't have seen the light
As for why she cried, it's been a while since I watched it but if I recall correctly, she was moved by the Oba-san's kindness, like preparing special dishes for her and giving her some kind of plant she grew herself. She said that the food was already more than enough, so for the Oba-san to go as far as giving her the plant (there were probably more though), apparently moved her to tears. Juri-chan's a very appreciative and sensitive girl, isn't she? _________________
Wow, love all the pictures. Thanks for posting them!
For some reason, I'm a lot more excited about this series more than Nodame movie... _________________
I'm eager to see how Juri-chan will fare with five different roles. She's one talented actress, and this set of dramas will make one heck of a showcase piece for Juri-chan.
I'm with you here. The prospect looks great, though I haven't seen polar opposite characters like Ruka and Nodame, at least they're different enough. Story-wise so far, I think I'm looking forward to the Elevator girl the most _________________

There are Chinese subs for the entirety of Ao Akua? I would love subs for the interview part and the part at her home as well. Any link would be fine with me. Thx in advance _________________

Agree with every single word you've said too!
That's what I like about this gal. Besides her talent, it's her personality that attracts me....
How many celebrity has the courage to go make-up-less in front of camera while making a DVD for fans.. ? Hardly....
