Greetings fellow YT fans!!!
I'll begin by apologizing to all if what you will read later on intentionally or unintentionally hurt you. Just want all of you to know that I am simply expressing my views. At times you might feel that I'm contradicting myself or what I wrote is ironic. I guess I have kept too much inside me for TOO LONG already. Hence this endless comments and thoughts.
I am writing as a Singaporean English-speaking die-hard YT fan. Ok Yutaka, as much as I love your low-profileness, perhaps cos I'm like that too (I hate being the centre of attention), this characteristic of yours is seriously getting to me. I am only human. There's a limit to my patience. Your obscurity has FINALLY gotten on my nerves BIG TIME!!!
You can say for the past few days my mood has been either angry or frustrated. It doesn't help that one of my J Loves has done something VERY DISAPPOINTING (Not going to elaborate cos its another story and MORE IMPORTANTLY it doesn't belong to this thread)
Hint: He has his own English forum dedicated to him and I have expressed and vented my unhappiness with this particular person over there for like-minded fans to respond to.
And that reminds me, I'd like to apologize for mentioning my two other JLoves here on YT's thread when I first started posting. They have no place here, I humbly admit, cos this thread is specially for Yutaka Takenouchi ONLY!!!
And the description given for DISCUSSION ON ARTISTS is
Quote:
Share latest news, gossips and performances of your favorite artistes
Look at the title of this thread ^. It reads Takenouchi Yutaka
So if you feel that you want to talk about other people, PLEASE FOR GOODNESS SAKE do it privately through PM or email.
Or better still, find the appropriate thread here in jdorama (jdorama btw, has a thread for ALMOST EVERYTHING under the sun). If a thread doesn't exist, nobody's stopping you from creating a thread for that particular artiste as long as you abide by the Posting Guidelines of this forum, right moderators? Yes I am NOT a moderator on this forum but I think its just basic courtesy to be on topic when posting in discussion forums. On that note, I WILL edit my earlier posts ASAP to exclude people who don't belong here.
You might be thinking, "Why are you being SO ANAL and such a pain?". Because it is SUPER HARD to find news about YT in Japanese or Chinese in the first place due to his private nature. And so finding news in English is like a bonus and something short of a miracle!!!
He doesn't really have much net presence. As other ladies here have realised, typing his name in search engines, doesn't ALWAYS get you the results that you want. You still have to spend time picking through the hay to find the needle. Excuse me Yutaka, I got a life too. I cannot be spending my time on the internet on a treasure hunt. And unlike other treasure hunts, there is no guarantee that I'll find that red X and dig to uncover my treasure. Its like going on a wild goose chase most of the time.
Its a different story for the two other TKs namely Takuya Kimura and Takeshi Kaneshiro. Here in Singapore the press and the people around me like to compare YT with these two. As you can now tell, this doesn't sit well with me AT ALL!!! Do not compare apples and oranges. Its a fruitless comparison (Pun intended) And let me state here that I don't give a d*mn about these two. So stop marketing them to me as if I should worship them. *rolls eyes*
Because of YT's obscurity, as fans, the next best thing to do is band together at one location to share information that we manage to gather on our own individual 'treasure hunts'. And i felt that for YT, his thread here on jdorama seems to be the most appropriate as its active and I can tell that those posting news of YT are devoted fans.
There are other forums out there related to dramas of course like soompi and d-addicts to name a few. But people there, from my observation, don't really discuss YT's works, specifically. They are imho, mainly Asian drama fans in general. If there are threads for him on other forums, its either inactive or if I am allowed to judge, very superficial and focuses on his physical appearance and sexual appeal (whatever that means). Nothing wrong with that but I guess such things aren't my priority. I crave intellectual discussions very much. Everyone can fantasise in their own minds at their own time. But to discuss, you need other people on the same frequency/wavelength. You can't discuss ALONE. You'll go crazy and suffer a mental breakdown (which I did for keeping almost everything to myself)
From posts here, it seems that TK has his own English forum where people can discuss everything about him. I'm guessing its like yutakatakenouchi.com (that Chinese forum dedicated to YT), where there are sections like News, Media, Gallery etc etc. If only there's a forum like that for YT but in English. Wishful thinking on my part, yes i agree. YT doesn't seem to have the critical mass of English speaking people to keep a forum of that kind going like how the other two TKs are so well-known internationally, it seems. They have fans which amounts to tens of thousands on facebook. I think that this, by the way, is a good indicator of fan base.
So I have a request, I know some of you here love this TK very much. I respect that different people have different taste so please drool, rave and praise him on his own forum where he rightfully belongs. I strongly believe that those things don't belong here on YT's jdorama thread. Do not subject me to read about them (BOTH TKs) even here, for crying out loud!!!
I am already exposed to them on the internet, TV, local print media without me putting ANY effort whatsoever. They are always in MY FACE!!! Yutaka is a different story altogether. Its like striking lottery to see his picture in ENGLISH print media these days. So I would appreciate it if they are not mentioned here. THANK YOU.
Just yesterday, I was reading my September copy of CLEO magazine. And no prizes for guessing, yes there were page after page of Takeshi Kaneshiro's face advertising some beauty product. I know I shouldn't let it get to me. But when I saw his face, you can say I got ANGRY. How lucky his fans are to have such stuff easily available to them like that.
And when I ask questions here, I'm not joking, Im serious. I want to know more about the real Yutaka and not just the characters that he play.
Ok that's all for now. Once again I apologize if my frank opinions has inadvertently ruffled some feathers here.

I'll take that small, sweet hollow at the base of his throat. Let me put some kisses there.....mmmmmmmm
I agree, the "hat" plus the "suspenders" is a bit tooo "light" for my tastes if you catch my drift.
Nandrika,
I will only offer this comment. We are a group bound together by our devotion to Yutaka. We admire his talent and his obvious physical gorgeousness. I come to this thread because we can make silly reference to things like his ears, his peacoat. We share and we laugh with each other across cyberspace. As we post and get familiar with each other, we start to feel like a family and therefore may share other things--for example, I find out that Lotus and I have all the same boyfriends and that the fur would fly in Chicago or Detroit if we had to duke it out (ha ha!). So yes, we do slip in another reference now and then. I appreciate the depth of your devotion to Yutaka and empathize with your frustration in how difficult it is to find out info about his life and his work--but you need to relax a bit. I don't think any of us are guilty of straying from the intent of this site. We always come back to what drew us here in the first place, we love him! He's beautiful! He's talented and we love him! We may not engage in intellectual discourse about him, but that doesn't diminish what we feel for fim. Also, on the off, off chance he may ever visit this site, please don't chastize him so harshly. He's a private guy obviously. We may never get any little nuggets about him other than when it's PR time for a movie or series. So, dear Nandrika, let's keep it lighter, okay?

I understand your frustration but he doesn't owe us anything. We buy his work and he might owe us a good performance but other than that, he does what his contracts dictate, no more no less. We should all respect his private life or his wish to keep his private life out of the media. One thing for certain and I know that is real about him, he puts his pants on one leg at a time just like you and me. He's just a man who happens to be an actor.

yutakagr gets points for sheer devotion on that one.
Eve, you are the sweetest. You have such good manners. Kudos to your Mother who raised you right!!! I just don't like when those silly photographers emasculate our man!!!! Like that horrible one from one of his photobooks. He's wearing a sleeveless cowel neck sweater. It's white. I think Yutakagr posted it once. It's "light" as a feather if you know what I mean

Namie Amuro tops the public image satisfaction polls
Xin.sg - Thursday, September 24
Two days ago, a Chinese media company released the results from its 2009 Survey on Satisfaction of Public Image of Japanese Performing Celebrities. Japanese R&B and hip-hop singer Namie Amuro, 32, topped the poll with 906.96 points, surpassing Japan's pop princess Ayumi Hamasaki who ranks close behind at 977.33 points.
Renowned Japanese animation artist, Hayao Miyazaki achieved 879.94 points, while Tanimura Shinji, Abe Hiroshi, Takenouchi Yukata, Utada Hikari, Norika Fujiwara, Sakata Tojuro and Takuya Kimura are all also placed in the top ten positions.
According to reports, this marks the first time a global survey is conducted based on the public's opinion of Japanese performing artistes. The survey results are a combination of the public's opinion and the influential levels of the artistes.
A fashion icon, Amuro continues to remain the media darling of the '90s generation. Her unwavering determination and continuous good album releases have earned her a spot in most people's hearts. From the results of the polls, majority of artistes listed in the top 10 positions belong to the 1970s generation such as Takuya Kimura, Ayumi Hamasaki, and Norika Fujiwara.
After news of Noriko Sakai's drug scandal erupted, the Japanese actress's rapid fall from grace can be noted from the polls as she currently ranks at the bottom and stands at the 98th position out of 100 Japanese celebrities.
To all: Thanks for the pictures and comments. Don't worry, I'm fine. Just have to get it out of my system. You ladies can agree and disagree with me, no problem. Rest assured I will not take it to heart.
