Taiwanese-Japanese actor Takeshi Kaneshiro is facing fresh speculation about his love life after a Hong Kong weekly ran a picture of him in a cosy moment with another man. The heart-throb was pictured in Sudden Weekly's weekend edition with his hand clasped over the man's, as they stood on the balcony of a hotel in Cannes.

He was at the Cannes Film Festival where House Of Flying Daggers, in which he starred, was screened. The weekly alleged that the two stayed in one room, and the man was seen basking on the balcony when Kaneshiro went out for press interviews. The next afternoon, Kaneshiro, 30, dressed in a T-shirt, chatted with him on the balcony. He was seen placing his hand over the man's. They also shared a bowl of soup while lunching in a dim corner of the hotel's cafe, away from the other celebrities. At the airport before the two left Cannes, Kaneshiro smiled and told reporters: 'He's my assistant.' But his male companion claimed he is a hairstylist, who did the actor's hair 'a few times'.

Kaneshiro's manager Eva Yao later denied that the two shared a room, saying all members of Kaneshiro's entourage had individual rooms. Recently, however, she spoke about Kaneshiro's shyness with women, saying: 'All these years, he hasn't held my shoulder when we have our photograph taken.' In 1996, Kaneshiro reportedly rejected actress Rie Miyazawa despite her infatuation with him. Rumours later linked him to a male assistant and then to a 30-ish handsome man, who claims to be his hairstylist.

(* My Opinion: Who really cares if he is Gay or not. I only wish him to be happy and if that happens to be with a man, then good for him. I have a Gay friend who has been in a relationship for 3 years and has never been happier. I could go on and on about this subject, but I personally think it doesn't matter if your Gay or Straight, we all deserve to be happy. *)

Seems pretty evident to me, but I agree with you - whatever makes him happy; whatever brings love. (Although his female fans would drop dead if this is confirmed, ).

Plus, I totally love gay guy couples. SO CUTE. The male friends I've had that were gay or bi have always been a blast....maybe I'd be a fag hag if I had more friends like that I wouldn't assume he's gay right away because I've heard of him with women. Maybe he's bi though.
