Merging.
P.S. You realize that all legitimate DVDs from Japan have NO English subtitles... That said, I'd recommend Nodame. |

Good choice.
I have the first season box set and it's great... Even more so with the Special Disc and extras.

I've liked anything with Hiroshi Abe in it. I particularly loved Densha Otoko and have to admit I really got into Hana Yori Dango.
I'm getting ready to give Uta no Oni-san a whirl and would appreciate any other suggestions.
Thanks! |
Abe Hiroshi was in Shiroi Haru this past Spring... But it wasn't a comedy, but a drama... And a sad one, to boot.
But it was quite good... 'Til the end.

I was wondering if you guys can help me out. I watched Wallflower, Hana Yori Dango and Busu no Hitomi Koishiteru but I'm looking for something else. Do you guys know any dramas/animes with the ugly/rejected person theme?
I'd be appreciated.
Thanks! |
Seikei Bijin and Nobuta wo Produce.

Waraeru Koi wa Shitakunai! It's a sweet and pithy tanpatsu...has a kind of "Love, Actually"-feel to it? I'm not sure because I've only seen snippets of that movie But it's a funny drama with 4 different stories converging to a hopeful but somewhat bittersweet ending

Looks like she's already seen it. Honestly, Sensei, the only drama I can think of off the top of my head is "Dream Again" : http://jdorama.com/drama.1216.htm and it's not really a Christmas drama, just the last 3 or 4 minutes of the last episode take place during Christmas. I don't think thats what you're looking for, but you could give it a shot. (Mirai Shida is great as usual )

The mother ship:
(Ugly + rejected) x 1,557,343.4009 = 101st MARRIAGE PROPOSAL, Fuji TV 1991

Dunno if it's subbed, though.

If you like romantic dorama then you can try dekichatta kekkon, moto kare, Summer Snow
For Detectives dorama, recently I watched Triangle, the story was so interesting and make me curious ^^
For fun, comedy and lesson learned dorama, recently I watched Dragon Zakura so fun to watch it till I realize I can't stop watch every episodes ^^v
Have a good try....
