For the uber-Jdrama fan:

Linksys by Cisco Media Hub

Unless you have the organizational skills of Martha Stewart, your computerfs multimedia files can be a mess. The Linksys by Cisco Media Hub de-clutters it and lets you access everything on a home network\and remotely.

It sweeps through your folders and centralizes files so you can scroll and click through audio, video and photos with a slick browser-based interface.

Price: $299 to $429

Great stuff BM. Are you planning on getting a media streamer now?

Not sure... Thinking about it.

I'm more motivated to upgrading my AV receiver.

It's not a problem at all, though: it weighs one-third of the TV it replaced.

My brother and I didn't break a sweat getting this LCD in place... The old CRT TV on the other hand... Sweat

I hear you, I "borrowed" my dad's old receiver & speakers, he wasn't really using it anyways. Mr Green I think this receiver is easily a decade old, but it still sounds great. Victory! Peace!

My brother just bought a new 7.2 receiver, since his 5.1 receiver was acting up... I'm gonna take it off his hands and try to fix it. Victory! Peace!

The one I'm using is a Pioneer 5.1. Like I said the sound is great. The only "complaint" I have of it, is that the speakers are probably double the size of speakers today, even so they're not huge or anything. I guess it just makes them look a little dated, 10 years in 'technology age' is a long time.

Heh, if you think that's old, my two front speakers (B&W DM330s) are almost 25 years old... And still going strong. Victory! Peace!

Hmm, looks like the receiver my brother gave me has a problem with the right speaker output and rear left surround speaker output... Sweat

Gotta try to hunt down a service manual for the thing... Sweat

EDIT: Yatta! I actually found one... Shocked

Let's see if it'll help me fix it. Fingers crossed

Anyone got any recommendations on a AV receiver?

I'm looking at models from Yamaha, Denon, and Onkyo at the moment.
