Watched pride last week..
despite some of the really bad comments it received, felt that it was not that bad, just not one of the best takuya show
It the opening scene is very well shot and is filmed quite beautifully..
but the storyline too typical lah, a bit dissapointed
Gonna watch Shiroi Kyoto2 and the Tsuyoshi's our way of living ..
see how!

I've just finished watching Virgin Road (Emi Wakui, Takashi Sorimachi)...I know it's an old dorama but I still can't believe how good it really is! It's maybe quite slow, but every scene is significant that you won't mind the pace...It reminds you of Korean dramas sometimes, but edgier... _________________

There's some moron at the local video store renting precisely the copy of Pride that I want to see on Tuesdays... I've had to leave Episodes 9-11 for next week...
So I've tried Cross of Roses, and I must say, it's an underrated gem. Pretty dark, but only on such material can someone like Hiroshi Mikami take a beating and keep on ticking. He certainly was more underrated than Eguchi and Karasawa were in their heydays and even now.
And I never thought Yuki Amami could be beautiful and sexy while playing kind and caring. Her performance in 'Naguru Onna' certainly was boring... I'm up to Episode 5 now, and the plot seems to just start...

Just finished Psychometrer Eiji, very good and intense mystery/supernatural drama, better than Kindaichi.
In the middle of watching Nurse no Oshigoto 3 (24 episodes long, oh my god), finally got to see a versatile side of Fujiki Naohito (thought he only played Vase roles).
Trying to finish Kimi wa Petto. Like Koyuki, but can't stand that little skinny brat (Matsumoto Jun), doesn't he look like that Suneo from Doraemon?
Fiercestriker, do you rent thse somewhere's? I'm looking for "netflix"-type services for j-dorama and such. To rent, you know?

I am watching Shin Hoshi no Kinka, looks good so far. I have never seen I or II though, but I heard good things about them.
Just finished Nurse no Oshigoto III, 24 episodes long!, but hilarious and you actually get to see Fujiki Naohito act (not just a vase role). Highly recommended.
I am watching the brand-new Spring 2004 dramas as well as some oldies:
New ones:
- Itoshi Kimi e
- Wonderful Life (It's kind of cheesy and slow...)
- At Home Dad (I like Abe Hiroshi a lot, but...)
- Hikaru to tomo ni (A serious drama about a family with an autistic child--has one of the band members of TOKIO in it. Good acting on everyone's part, seriously.)
- Atarashi Kaze (Think I might stop watching it though, got a little bit boring in the 2nd ep)
- Home Drama (starring Domoto Tsuyoshi as the main lead--really, really, really touching drama!! I teared up in the first and second episodes a lot. Recommended.)
Old Ones:
- Gokusen (Just finished it, HILARIOUS! So glad I watched it)
- Majo no Joken (I keep watching just to see how angry I might get..)
- Boku no Ikiru Michi (I fell asleep on the 9th episode, but I will rent it to the end...)
- Fighting Girl (I think I am never going to watch it again though. It's horrible)
- HERO (.....why do people like this drama?)
- Ai nante iranee yo, natsu (I have only seen up to ep. 2, it's always not in at the video store & I can't find DLs....thinking of buying it)
