That's an understatement.
Without those ears, he would no longer be Eita. Kinda of like that actress, Jennifer Grey of Dirty Dancing. She got a nose job and no longer looked like her old self. It looks like Eita is comfortable with his appearance...don't ya think!

Yeah, if he's cool with it... Otherwise he'd keep the same 'do to hide 'em.

Koji Kikkawa becomes Eita's father in "Sunao ni Narenakute"
Singer Koji Kikkawa (44) has joined the cast of Fuji TV's Twitter-themed drama series "Sunao ni Narenakute," which starts next month. This will be his first role in a drama on a commercial broadcasting network.
Eita plays a photographer named Keisuke who aspires to become like his father, a war photographer (played by Kikkawa). His father returned to Japan after being injured on the battlefield, but is now unable to keep a steady job, even resorting to asking Keisuke for money. As a result, Keisuke begins hating his father, while still pursuing his path as a photographer.
My apologies for posting something revelvant about the drama and not about Eita's ears.

Juri Ueno and Eita, the stars of Fuji's 2008 hit Last Friends, team up again for another "seishun" drama featuring today's young people, their issues and concerns. Sunao ni Narenakute (starting in mid-April, Thursdays, 10 p.m., Fuji) grapples with the twenty-something angst of trying to follow one's dreams and find one's place in the world while wondering if the best days of one's youth haven't already slipped by.
Eita plays Nakajima (username "Nakaji"), a struggling young photographer whose father keeps pestering him for money. Ueno's character (username "Haru") is a part-time high school teacher with a younger brother who she suspects takes drugs. Haru has self-confidence issues and has never had a boyfriend. Haru's best friend (Megumi Seki), username "pi-chi," is having an affair with her boss and has a history of wrist-cutting. Tetsuji Tamayama's character (username "Linda") has a good job with a publishing company but also has his own issues, including being sexually harassed by his female boss. Tohoshinki member Jae Joong (username Doctor) makes his Japanese drama debut as the fifth member of the group. A medical equipment sales agent pressured to perform, he allows his Twitter pals to assume he's a real doctor. The group interact online, but there are plenty of real-life overlaps. Doctor's sister is one of Haru's students and Haru's mother apparently knows Nakaji's father.

Thanks for the article. I'm not expecting much on Jae Joong's role here though. LOL. _________________
