Could be..... I thought I would be able to talk about J-doramas with my cousins in Japan but they said they never watch them, only K-dramas. They said J-dramas are boring. I guess it's the same for me... I don't watch American shows hardly either. |
I think it depends on taste and what you're feeling in the mood for watching. I love J-Dramas because I find their plot and characters grand. But when I want something silly, or fun, or romantic, I always turn to K-Dramas first. They're not "the same", so I watch either for different reasons.
But I'm with you on American TV. I don't watch it. _________________

Same here... I have noticed one oddity: their NHK news in HD isn't HD, but more like SD.

I watch anything though, a good story is a good story regardless its country. But my fathers best friend was japanese and he often came to visit us when i was little, so i'm a little bit born into it. |
Don't worry I like Doner Kebab and I don't live in Turkey or watch Turkish shows, if it makes you happy.

I have a coworker who's Turkish and we always try to talk to each other with basic Japanese phrases and terms, like "Ohayo gozaimasu" and "Itadakimasu."

I think we have a tendency to use japanese phrases for fun because phonetically japanese is a little bit interesting for turkish people. It is like a constant "misheard lyrics" situation.
