I have a Region-Free player, so the Region Code isn't an issue to me. 
EDIT: From the Amazon Japan site, it "appears" that the DVD set (3 discs) has bonus features that the Blu-Ray (1 disc) does not... I would find that a bit hard to believe... If you really want the Blu-ray, more research is warranted.  |

That is for the dvd, I wouldn't bet on the Blu-ray having these. I don't really think I would watch these, so its not too bad. And about region encoding, I also have a region-free DVD player, but was talking about the Blu-ray. While looking on yes-asia I found out that the Americas and Japan are all in the same region for Blu-ray! No need to worry about compatibility for Blu-ray  I'm off to buy the Blu-ray edition from HMV

I always watch the bonus stuff... Love the behind the scenes info, even though I don't understand the language for the most part.

Be forewarned: the always misquote the US price... Their exchange rate calculations are dated.
The last time I bought something from them, it cost me almost $10 more, because their exchange rate was off.

Is it because the video is in 1080p?
Unless you have a somewhat powerful computer, it might not be able to handle the resolution and file size...

I watched this last night.
I pretty much figured out what the added-in stuff was: all the stuff with Stresseman... Though there were no subtitles, those additions seemed to break up the continuity/flow of the movie.
Having seen all of the anime, I could sort of figure out what was going on, but I'm still hoping for some English subs.
I liked the Puri Gorota fantasy sequence: it was done really well, but it was shorter than I thought.
The little girl Katrine, was cute and her spoken Japanese was quite amazing, even though she was clearly a hakujin (maybe half).
The musical sequences, as expected, were top-notch and well-performed.
And what can you say about Juri-chan and Hiroshi-kun that hasn't been already said?  
Someone, please subtitle this!!!

I know 2GB is still rather large, but I didn't want to sacrifice video/audio quality that much by shrinking it down any more.
