I think that's more of the viewers issue than Juri-chan's: the Nodame character is so ingrained in our minds (and hearts? ) that we're always going to "see" that character in Juri-chan's acting unless she radically changes her look and demeanor entirely, like in Last Friends.

I can't agree more.
Probably in the later time, we'll have a different perception when the image of Nodame has faded.
Though I don't think I can ever forget Nodame.

LOL, everyone seems fixated on those transitions and the product placement, but they're not a distraction to me one bit... Guess I'm more focused on the story/characters than the extraneous stuff. Smile

Me too. Smile
Instead I thought the transitions gave an urban/ trendy style to the drama.
And now, I want iPod. (easily influenced Sweat )

I did notice the vestiges of Nodame earlier on in the episode, and I have to say I wasn't too pleased with that. It's okay in certain contexts, maybe later in the show when we've already gotten a firm grasp of Sunao ni Narenakute's Haru, but this early on the show, it's a distraction for the viewers. We trying to connect to Haru, not Nodame again. I don't think Juri was doing it consciously though.

it happens lots of the time. when Juri chan is going from one character to another in a short time, the roles sort of bleed together at the edges (like from nodame to the trainwreck that was Jodan ja nai, you could really see the transition happening during the first few eps)

Not likely.

Nodame's one of the truly unforgettable characters in J-drama. Smile

They're cool, I don't hate them, but I think they kind of break the flow of the drama. Just a personal thing, I find them distracting. I guess when the story gets more serious as it seems it will, they might drop them.

I'm pretty sure Linda's lying too - he seems to be doing this Twitter group for an article, but I don't think the others know that.

yeah, I don't think Eita's & Juri's characters lied about what they do for a living.

Yeah, it's the world we live in. Product placement doesn't surprise nor bother me. It's just that when it's all over your screen you can't help but comment on it.

I'll have to disagree, I don't see product placement as stylish.

I think flame was referring to the transitions, not the products.

Heck, I don't even need to watch the drama to know that all the characters are liars. That's their catch phrase and the point of the drama..

^

I bet, Jae Joong was picked for the ratings. He's the top most wanted lover in Japan's chart during the Valentines Day. Plus, Jae Joong's always topping the Ikemen charts of Japan lately.

But his acting is so dull. Gomen ne, Joongie. I still love you as a singer/dancer Sweat
