The national media is too busy talking about the King without the crown. But they should be talking about the Celts' defense, they really stepped up their game. Tony Allen did a great job on James.
What will Charles Barkley say now.

The thing that bugs me is that he has always gotten away with traveling.
Right on both counts, while he's lost a step, Garnett is till one of the best defenders around. Celts play more as a team, different guy every night seems to step up, James thinks only he can do anything, ask MJ or Kobe if it works, Lakers are so much better now that Kobe realizes he doesn't have to score 30+ a game. That Suns-Lakers matchup could be quite exciting, league needs one after 3 sweeps in the semis.
Yeah, the Shaq bunny hop, bet if Bynum or Gasol tried that traveling would be called for sure... few of us enjoy Shaq bashing, know I do. _________________

I did when he with the Lakers... One of the most overrated centers in history.
With his size he should have been so much better, for so long the center position was the weakest position in the league, he put up solid numbers during that time but should have been so much more. You mentioned about going on James coat tails to pick up another ring, Wade won one for him, probably same the same thing about his Lakers rings with Kobe. _________________

Yup.
And he badmouths those who came before and after him... Classless.

Classless is a good description, can't believe after what, 5 or so years he was selected as one of the top 50 players of all time!? Not in my book is he, players like Wilt or Russell would eat him alive, Hakeem did when they met in the finals.
PS- Forgot to add Jabbar in there, he would have relished the thought of playing against Shaq. _________________

Yes on all counts.
Guess it's time for the conference finals, see the Lakers are big favorites, wonder if Orlando will be with the way they've been playing, don't think they have anyone who can match up well with Howard. _________________

That was the feeling last year and the Lakers handled them rather easily, though now the Magic have Vince Carter... That could be a difference maker.
Still, the Lakers and Magic need to get by the Suns and Celtics, respectively... And it's not a given.

Celts have surprised many, though Orlando should win the Celts confidence is no doubt sky high, if it comes down to Howard having to make FTs then the series is a toss up. I could see Suns-Lakers going 7, if Bynum is healthy then that means Stoudamaire will guard him, no one on the Suns can stop Gasol, actually very few can anyways. _________________

I still show love for Shaq. I don't know how you can say he was overrated? 10 years ago Shaq was BEAST and I doubt any team in the league back then wouldn't want him on their team. Afterall, his contributions won your town 3 championships.
Some other accolades include '99 MVP, 2 scoring titles, 3 Finals MVP, so on and so forth.
If you can't appreciate that then at least check out his awesome debut rap album "Shaq Diesel" (went platinum) and video game "Shaq Fu" for Sega Genesis.

Yeah, he helped get L.A. three consecutive titles, but I still have no respect for him and wouldn't put him on any list for best players in NBA history.
Magic comes out flat and the Celtics take advantage, winning 92-88.
Yep, a win is a win, but man, we need to play better if we want to win this series. Overall, the Celts played bad basketball especially in the first half.

Their defense made the Magic play even worse... The Magic threw up enough bricks to build a Brownstone.
