IMO ninja gaiden (for xbox) is a great game!!! great graphics great control... impressive! ... (a little hard..but) ITS IS FLAWED you can beat the entire game..( after level 3) using only 2 moves!(u just need to keep powering them up) .. they work especialy well on bosses.. so that kinda ruins the fun...i guess you could no use those moves.. but its hard to go back to not using them =P ..glitch glicth

I think retail is $150. I want to use one as a movie player. When you install the media software on these, you can play just about anything you can play on your comp. Even stuff like OGM, and videos with soft subs.
Maybe I should look into that. It's cheaper than a PS2.

I already have a PS2 right now, and I barely use it. A lot of my games are unopened or untouched. :/
How come?
You can give it to me! _________________

From my recollection, (which isn't much) I thought that the dad's name was Ken Hayabusa?! (I haven't played the original since '91, so excuse the memory 'cause it could be way off) And he died right? Which is what started the whole story..... (I can still remember the opening skit/intro in the original when the two ninjas have that duel in the moonlight. The game was very high tech back then) I'm still trying to get my hands on the original 'cause my Nintendo still works! Gotta play that game again.
yea, thats the funny thing. i remembered his dad's name as ken. in this new one his name magically changed to joe. the game is really good though. has nothing to do with the original trilogy except for the fact that the main character is ryu hayabusa.

I'm guessing on this one. So please, no one flame me.
(IMO)Probably 'cause the original creators of Ninja Gaiden stopped after they made game #3. The XBox version however probably bought the rights to the game and thus, can do whatever they want with it. In which now you see the game on XBox rather than Nintendo Game Cube.
(I don't know if this has any relevance) but Nintendo is a Japanese company. Whereas Microsoft's XBox originated by an American company. Put the two together and then you have an American company who can pretty much do anything with the game (since they bought the rights to it, I'm assuming) and thus change the character's name to Joe. _________________

that might be the case but, man, at least loan some authenticity to the game by keeping a legendary ninja's name japanese....and yea man, this game is freaking hard....its almost exactly like devil may cry.

They should rather than change stuff around like that.
But y'know? What do they care? They're the ones who (must've) bought the rights in order to do so. And now they're making all the dough from the revenue that the game brings in.

I only play at the Bearcade, but I don't really play that often anymore. So you guys are going to Evo2k4? I'm not sure about going this year cuz its on consoles. I went last year though.

Yeah I have Soul Calibur 2 but I don't play it that much cause I don't really like it..
Just wanted to sharet the European PAL release boxart of Onimusha 3. I think it rocks.
When I saw the commercial for Onimusha 3, I couldn't help but notice that the main character looked A LOT like Kaneshiro Takeshi. Welp, I think that solves that mystery for me.

lol this is one game i don't play.... i mean its not my kind of game..
but my friend is the best in the world NO JOKE!!! i know ARIS from westside mall (he goes to my college..lol we have even taken some clases together...HE"S HELLA FUNNY!!!.. ) in fact he was just in france for the world championships ... team USA won the team tourney and he won the SINGLES !!! wow a double win!... i seem to know all the top players... but hey to be the best you have to hang with the best right?
this is from the EVO website:(not much of a looker .. but hey he's funny.. and tight at everygame, but SCII is HIS game)
Famous for his insane Voldo and prominent good looks, Aris is the current man to beat. In February 2004, Aris coached Team USA to victory and took the singles tournament himself at the SC-II World Cup in Cannes, France.
that is a horrible boxart for onimusha3 oh yeah that is Kaneshiro Takeshi.. he alsp stared in onimusha the first for a japanese actor (to star IN A GAME) have ya seen the making of ONIMUSHA3? they show him acting ... he looks so serious dude... in onimusha he looses his pony tail and sports his reallife hair style HANDSOME DEVIL!!!
