However, he's the gross version Or maybe, I could say gross because I, too is a "Ruka" and I can understand Ruka's gayness. LOOL EDIT: Finished ep9. LOL So WTF? Linda's the one who tried to commit suicide. LOOL

Was Ruka really gay in the true sense? She had Gender Identity Disorder... Linda is just flat out gay. Or is there a real difference?

Well, for me if you sum it up, it makes Ruka gay. You can also say that Linda has a gender identity disorder as Ruka because the time when he had this moment with Peach and her boss, he was disgusted. And looking back to Ruka, she never had an interest in males.

That said, Linda never tried to be a female, whereas Ruka tried to be a male with the short hair, clothing, etc...

I'm glad that Linda was in a better frame of mind and died with Nakaji by his side. It really seemed like he would recover. Though I am glad that Linda was the one who made Nakaji realize how much he loves Haru. It was so cute that Nakaji gave her a shrine charm and even told her "Gambatte" . Something he has never done. If only poor Haru didn't fail her exam. Now she's about to leave and go with Doctor to Korea. Now we're at the last episode. If I had to predict what's going to happen. I think Haru will still go with Doctor to Korea but she's going to be preoccupied with thoughts of Nakaji. I think Doctor will finally realize that Haru also has feelings for Nakaji and encourage her to follow her heart and go to him.

Well, Nakaji told her he loves her before she got on the plane. There's also scene prior to that in the park. My japanese is pretty weak so I don't want to get the translation wrong. It appears to me that Nakaji was giving his blessing to Haru to go to Korea and that she shouldn't worry about him because she's with Doctor. I don't know that's the impression I got. I have to wait for the subs...again.

I think having a Gender Identity Disorder is much more complicated than being gay. It's not just about having a certain sexual preference towards the same sex but having this profound dislike in being in your own skin. That's why they say it's like having a man trapped inside a woman's body or vice versa, which is also why people who suffer from that disorder are usually candidates for a sex change operation. In Ruka's case though, it wasn't that defined. For a while it seemed that the story was headed that way but eventually she felt comfortable enough to just be herself. We're made to believe she's gay but whether or not she really is, well, we'll never really know since writers nowadays leave a lot of stuff hanging. She may have just been confused for all we know... But Linda... definitely gay.

Yes, Nakaji did. But when he said "Suki da/I love you" to Haru, he also said "Iku na!/Don't go!". I'm still having doubts if Eriko-san will go with the flow of old doramas. That when someone stopped you from leaving specially a scene in the airport, the person won't go and stay

Doctor can be very impulsive but he has a good heart. I think it's a question of whether he realizes whose Haru's heart belongs to or does he continue to pretend that Haru loves him. The cliffhanger puts Haru on the spot with Nakaji declaring his love for her in front of Doctor. How awkward. There's basically 3 options. Haru leaves with Nakaji; Haru leaves with Doctor; Haru doesn't go with either and stays in Japan to think things over. Usually the lovers at the airport scene happens at the end of the last episode not the second to last episode.
