LIAR GAME episode 8, woah... soo intense
That was a good series, they knew how to really bring up the intensity level in that.
Episode 3 of Byakuyakou, also quite intense and suspenseful, can already tell this is gonna be one good drama. First episode was 93 minutes, longer than a lot of movies, glad it was due to the fact there was so much to digest at first, also really good job so far for the young actress who played Yukiho. _________________

I've checked out episode 1. They said this was written by Kitagawa. Looks more like it was written bya commitee from "Cliches R Us"
Aww, that doth suck. I think the most cliche-ridden Kitagawa drama I've seen was... ASUNARO HAKUSHO. And whaddaya know, some peeps over at the D-A thread have compared SUNAO NI NARENAKUTE to... tadaaaa! ASUNARO HAKUSHO!!! Blerg.

Maybe Kitagawa Eriko is just way past her prime and somewhat out of touch with the times.
And now we have Kimura doing an epic FAIL with TSUKI NO KOIBITO. End of an era?
Reminds me of that Nelly Furtado song:
Flames to dust
Lovers to friends
Why do all good things come to an end?
Yeah, why do they?
(Senaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol)

Cool... Looking forward to your wry and witty commentary, as always.
(Yeah, I'm a fan. )
Pshw. You just want to hear someone blather on about how awesome Juri is... which I'll probably end up doing, anyway.

Due to the high risk of me having a nervous breakdown watching the South Korea Nigeria match (and the fact that I don't have a TV connection and I would have to go to a bar and embarrass myself crying for my team in public ) I decided to watch the last episode of Hotaru no Hikaru.
I'm now fully prepared for season 2. In fact, I morphed into something like Hotaru - when I finished watching the show I realised I was wearing my gym shirt inside out - tags hanging out and all. Thanks good I didn't go out for a run but had done my Thai-Chi-with-David-RIP-Carradine-routine in front of my screen.

LIAR GAME episode 10, I have to stop in 11 since my dl is not yet finish so I switched to
SMILE and now I'm on episode 8
That's because episode 11 is a loooong one, over 3 hours though a lot of it is recapping the first 10 episodes, intensity level is sky high during the finale too. _________________
Of the three Spring dramas I'm watching (Shinzanmono and Sunao ni Narenakute the other two), IMHO this is by far the best of the three and one of the best "serious" jdramas I have watched...

Finished Byakuyakou, that was certainly a different drama. So dark, dreary, depressing but also one of the more captivating series I've seen, was sorry to see it end. Ending of it was only so-so, made the final rating not quite a 10 then. Not for all tastes, but if you like your dramas intense, dark and mysterious then this one is for you, great job too by the cast, they were all superb. _________________
It's a 6 part spy, suspense, mystery type show featuring Watabe Atsuro.
Sort of a mish-mosh of 24 meets George Smiley.
Terrorists seem to be everywhere... and Watabe seems to be the only guy in the Public Safety Division (read: Homeland Security) of the Metropolitan Police Department who is scarier than the terrorists.
Watabe was great, and everything about the show looked... right. It looked like... felt like... a great show. But something about it left me feeling a bit disappointed.
Maybe it was because both the supporting characters, and the bad guys were just 2 dimensional paper cut-outs. There were lots of twists and turns... lots of betrayals... but none of the other characters seemed... real.
With the exception of Yo Kimiko as the troublesome Minister. The pain in the butt politician who gets in the hero's way has been around for a very long time. But Kimiko turned her character into someone almost as scary as Watabe's cop.
Definitely worth seeing. But I'd be very interested in hearing what anyone else who saw it has to say about it.
One note: It seems they set the whole thing up as a prequel for a movie... so maybe that's why they left it some room to grow. _________________
