I wish I could say the same, but I didn't start watching until 2002 and the pre-2000 dramas are rather hard to come by.
My exact thoughts, wish I could find some pre-1995, perhaps the interest is not there for them though it seems as though a few of us here really would want to see some. Didn't watch my first drama until 2005, guess I'm the opposite of Eve, almost all my votes stretch from 2002 until now. _________________

The only two pre-2000 dramas I can recall (and actually have on disc) are Tokyo Elevator Girl and Double Kitchen, both classics, IMO.

After a weekend of watching Japanese movies I decided I needed to watch a Japanese series this week. So I popped in Kaibutsu-kun... and because I hate to give up on a series too early it wasn't until the second episode that I trashed the disc and scurried back to watching a Korean series.
That's, not to say " Kaibutsu-kun" is the worst bit'o'tv I've ever seen. It's close, but not the worst. The problem is... I'm just not an 11 year old girl with a crush on one of the pretty little boys in the show. And I think you'd have to be to put up with this --- oops! Almost used a bad word. _________________

I quite enjoyed it actually. Probably because I am bit of a kid and the target audience for this series are kids.
Tried a few of this season's dramas, wasn't taken with any of them.
MM9 looks like it could be interesting, hopefully.

With the world cup and a lot going on at work as well as socially (friend's wedding, family gatherings etc) I didn't have much time for dramas but last night I checked out:
Unubore Deka episode 1
Hotaru no hikaru 2 episodes 1 and 2
... and I am pleased with what I saw, the first is typical Kudo Kankuro stuff and the latter is as light and sweet as a summer "suika". Hotaru no hikaru is likely to lose steam but it seems they got rid of the more annoying aspects (Makoto-kun anyone?) of the first season.
I also watched Mother episode 10 still going strong!
O! I just recently started this one! I'm on episode 5 I believe. I LUFF it! I started watching it to get a Miho fix, but it's Matsushima and Fukuyama that are keeping me watching it.
I'd forgotten how attracted I was to Fukuyama while watching Galileo. He's rekindled the old flame. _________________

Ooh, great choices! I am also so happy to see annoying Makoto gone, too. I don't know if it was the character himself or the guy's acting...he just really turned me off. Mukai Osamu is doing a far better job.
I just finished watching Unubore Deka episode 2...two times in a row. Omg it was SO GREAT. It was even better than the first episode, which was also pretty good already. Aoi Yu is so awesome. I love her. Can't wait for the next episode!

I'm a newbie as Fuku-chan's fan
and yes I'm in love with him because of Henjin Galileo
too bad there's no Fukuyama's thread here a place where I can find his pics

He was my first drama crush. I saw him in Refrain and he got me hooked on dramas.
Beauty Or BEast is terrific, Nanako is wonderful in it. Im a big fan of hers. Bigger than him actually. After all she played MAtsu.
Im dipping into the drama bucket again. Im on ep 6 of REal Clothes. Im into fashion and Hitomi so I'm really enjoying it so far.
Fuma No Kojiro-Checked out about 10 minutes. Seems like if your ready for some lively, over the top, Ninja stuff and the pretty crowd this would be a good one.
