Okay, so I'm liking You're Beautiful less. Which is a shame, because I had made up my mind to like it when I first started the show. I have three episodes to go, and I'm finding it really repetitive and some of the plot gimmicks are really dumb. There are more characters I find annoying than ones I like, which is a problem. The ones I DO like, however, are making the show bearable. Still enjoying it better than Boys Over Flowers, so I'm not completely writing it off. Yet. _________________

That is the downside to kdramas I find. More difficult with the longer series to keep it fresh perhaps.
Queen Seon Deok does not have that problem. On ep 43. _________________

Once you've seen one Hong sisters' show, you end up watching them all. My first one was their first one, Delightful Girl Choon Hyang
Yes, that was the first K-Drama I've seen, still in my top 3, seen it 3 times. Their follow up series was fairly good too, My Girl, now I have an inkling to watch it again. _________________

Sounds like a good place to start. Delightful Girl Choon Hyang it is!

Good choice, it's almost like 2 different series, first 8 episodes are more of a comedy genre while during the last 8 it get's quite serious. _________________

It's interesting that Kim Nam Gil was not all that thrilled to be sent to the top of the list for this Bidam role. He has done such a variety of serious dramas and he has been around for some time, so suddenly having this fame for a role he really does not admire was not a truly happy thing for him.
He thought it interesting that Bidam was a real person in history but nothing very much was known about him. He considered that he was a devious evil man so I guess he didn't like him much. Neverthless it did not stop him from doing a lot of background searching to play the role and I think he certainly made it one of the brightest characters in the drama.
