hey qnuy...
yup, the movie's releasing on feb11th.
not sure if u can catch preview screenings..
i feel super sad too.
i'll be in tokyo during xmas...totally impossible to catch the movie.
i wonder if there will be pamphlets available around the city for grabs...
guess my consolation prize is catching the finale ep of nagareboshi in japan....sigh~
when are the preview screenings usually held? a week before the theatrical premiere?
I'll be looking for the pamphlets too while I'm there, and planning to go to Fujisawa as well and visit Enoshima Aquarium (where Kengo works hehe..) Hopefully they sell the jellyfish key holder and the key chain there. I want those!
ii ne..you'll get the chance to spend Christmas in Japan, and watch the last episode of Nagareboshi there _________________
anyone has any idea where yutaka hangs out?
i just realize i won't be watching the finale in japan...i thought there was gonna be 11 episodes for nagareboshi, turns out just 10 episodes.... uber sad.
was hoping it'd be 11, so that if they go onto mezamashi live, i can rush down to daiba some morning and catch a glimpse of him.... :/
i really hope we get at least 15 minutes expansion for the finale episode. there are so much developments awaiting us, and just 2 more episodes's not enough!!!
and can i just say i think ueto aya is really great with our yutaka. i think she's one of the few actresses who complements well with him...

So lucky you get to be in Japan in December! Have fun on your trip! Stay safe and keep a lookout for our boy. He has a dog, maybe you can stalk some parks and catch him walking it!
In yutaka news: He has a new movie coming out in May! And it's a comedy!
From what I could gather after reading the googletranslated version of the loveyutaka forums, this movie is about a married couple who takes a vacation in hell (??) He shot this way before he left for Thailand to shoot Oba: The last Samurai.
The name of the movie, as per imdb, is Ohkike no Tanoshii Ryoko. What is it in English, I wonder?
It's written by Maeda Shirou and co-stars Mizukawa Asami. Here's what she looks like:

More info here:
Yutaka Takenouchi, Asami Mizukawa play newlyweds in comedy film
Mon, December 13, 2010
Yutaka Takenouchi and Asami Mizukawa will co-star in a new movie by director Ryuichi Honda ("GS Wonderland"). Titled "Ogiya no Tanoshii Ryokou: Shinkon Jigoku-hen," the film is an adaptation of a novel by writer and actor Shiro Maeda.
In this comedy, Takenouchi and Mizukawa play the newlywed couple Nobu and Saki, who are already tired of married life. The two embark on a "trip through hell," but their experiences and encounters along the way renews their love for each other.
The cast is rounded out by Kirin Kiki, Hairi Katagiri, Yoshiyoshi Arakawa, Ai Hashimoto, Denden, Ryota Yamasato (Yama-chan), and Akira Emoto.
Maeda, who wrote the original novel, has won several awards as an author and playwright. He has been described as an emerging talent in the same vein as established comedy writers Koki Mitani and Kankuro Kudo. "Ogiya no Tanoshii Ryokou" is his first work to get a movie adaptation.
The movie is planned for release in theaters in May 2011.

Yup 2011 is going to be a great year for him. He'll be in a lot of people's minds the first half of the year. Nagareboshi ending (and hopefully the buzz will be good), Oba: The last Samurai in February and now this new movie in May. Perhaps a new campaign by D'Urban for spring too! Hoorayy!! So happy for him! So happy for his fans!
Question: Do the producers usually try to promote the final episode just like they do in the beginning? Will we see the leads in talk shows etc to get more people to watch ep. 10 or do they leave it alone? Just wondering how it works in Japan.
According to the Jap Nagareboshi fans, seems like our two leads will not be on Mezamashi live tomorrow. Instead, they will be showing footages from the crank up. Let's hope their info is not true and the Yutaka and Aya can grace the program again. Seems like the only tv show they're confirmed to be on to promote the final ep will be iitomo...
I think this is one of the lowest lying getsu-9. Not a lot of media attention given. In a way I think that's great, and I think that just means that the ratings the show's getting deserve even greater applause due to the lack of promotion. Some people were complaining about ep9, well, I was hoping for more Kengo x Risa scenes but I still enjoyed the episode very much. Let's hope the director rewards the patient Kengo x Risa fans well in the last episode.
Samishi!!! Tomorrow's the last ep~ argh!
Does anyone have any confirmation on whether we'll get extra 15 mins or no?
