I've been watching "Life is Beautiful" as it's being subbed (so there's never really enough of it to get bored with at any one time) and the further I get into it, the more I like it. I just finished watching ep 55 of the 63 episode series.
I'm not as attached to this one, as I was "Son of Sol Pharmacy House", but I do like it.
This is just a quick note for the Kim Jung Hwa fans on the page (I think you said you liked her, Ralph). She does a guest shot on the show, starting in episode 56 and on into ep 57. I don't know if that's it, or if she stays around longer. Those episodes haven't been subbed yet, so I haven't watched.
Re: "Playfull Kiss", I haven't given up on it yet, but I've noticed that once I got to episode 4, I started finding other things to watch. I don't dislike it... but there doesn't seem to be enough story in it to make me want to fire it up.
The woman who plays the boys mom is the star of the show, for me. I have to get some more of her stuff. And as for the girl who plays the lead... she plays it as an honest to goodness high school girl. Not a 28 year old pretending to be 17.
And because I'm all over the map right now as far as Korean shows go... I started Oh My Lady!. Half way through and I'm pretty bored. Nobody in it really annoys me... but I'm finding it slow, with no particular place to go. _________________

Just finished the kdrama Baker Tak-Goo. 8/10
Loved the way Eugene treated the mother at the end.
The end all in all was satisfying.
But it had some very irritating little flaws.

Like why does a martial arts specialist become a klutz when he gives himself over to baking.
It got an 8 because I actually watched it. Anything that can hold me for 25 of 30 eps has a certain catchy quality.
We did skip eps 21-25 though. [/quote] _________________

Secret Garden????!!! me...me....
can't hardly wait for the next episode.....episode 14 is amazing
I love the way Joo Won loves Ra Im....and also Oska and Yeon Seul
hope the end will be great and not the sad one... _________________
Secret Garden has some good acting and I do think the love relationship between the two main characters have great chemistry.
Joo Won loves Ra Im, that you can sense and how strong the attraction is between those two, even with Seul and Oska.
I think the plot is good, and easy to follow but still is very addicting as you want to watch the next episode to see what happens next.

yup yup yup so true ... it keeps u interested _________________
yea oska is something else but Joo won takes the cake
not sure if there is a Secret Garden discussion thead, but otherwise...
I would like to say that Oska is very dramatic and emotional yet has a softer side towards Seul as soon as he finds out more on the truth, but the main character, Joo Won does not shy away from showing the attraction towards Ra Im, even if it makes him look out of place.
not sure if we should use the spoiler tags in further discussion on this drama, but I did enjoy ep14 when the characters really showed their true honest feelings towards one another.
Yes, use spoiler tags. I'm watching Secret Garden, but I haven't watch up to ep 15. I've fallen a few eps behind. There is a thread over at d-addicts.
just a few words on secret garden 16

I just took a glance at it since it was just uploaded, and now I am watching part of it, still waiting for the subs, but
are Seul and Oska getting back together?, and it does look like Joo Won's mother soften up a bit at Ra Im's apartment at the end of 16, but still waiting for the actual subtitles to understand it exactly, but not sure yet what to think, yet another cliff hanger to the next ep, only 4 left at ep16

Yea he does (oska) he has the qualities that Joo won wishes he had while (For me) I think they should put some of Joo Won boldness toward Seul.. but because JooWon boldness I like him.. he surly is scared to show that he like Her

really Can't wait to see it

but did they say what happen between Oska and Joo Won why they are the way they are ??
I do see the similarities between Joo Won and Oska.

and despite them being cousins, it does seem that Oska does some yelling and scolds the selfish and sometime childish cousin Joo Won a lot, which he needs. I do seem some of each character in their strong good points. I think Oska does see the faults he has made with Seul, and is trying to make amend with her, even going out on a limb, even despite Seul's strong doubts and is hesitant to accept Oska because she doesn't want to be hurt again. This is one relationship i want to see end in a good way. But obviously, Joo Won and Ra Im, that is one blossoming romance I want to see endure the uncertainties. I think Oska is picking up on Joo Won's assertive pursuits with Ra Im, and Oska is applying it to his love, Seul, and trying to fix what was broken. Perhaps Joo Won is also learning from Oska, what things he need to sacrifice more and be more gentle and less arrogant in keeping Ra Im.
There is a lot of sub-stories within this drama, and wacky characters alongside, like Secretary Kim and his girlfriend, and annoying Joo Won's mom, who now feels the guilt of what she said to Ra Im about her parents.

have all that in common and the also botth are lerning form another which is also sweet but it all happen because of a bet more or less which was a nice bet btw it takes a girl to make things come into play ....
oh secretary Kim is too funny his face express when he's with Joo won is something else especially in ep 11 when he went off on phone on JooWon LOL that was funny and her co workers to are a piece of work too
Joo Won mother is getting on my nerves but she has hers coming and I Can't wait to see how will pay
btw Ep 11 was something one big turning point I think .. with Joo Won degrading him self in a way to get her to understand or to accept his feelings and was sweet going to see how that turns out
'but I guess the director must really like her to do what he did ( back down) but something is happening between him and Joo Won sister

I am desolate at the moment because SKKS has finished. I feel so lost without that drama which is probably the loveliest one I have seen in a long time.
GEEZER please try to see this one. I am sure you would love it. It is on different levels so you can say it is a light drama with romance between students in the school for upper class people going into the government service. Then it is dramatic because it deals with the devious politics between two factions in the country and the King is trying to change things. It is set in the later Joseon era so the costumes are great and the settings are interesting. Best of all we have four students who will capture your interest and maybe your heart because they do so well with their roles.
I feel positively empty now that there are no more episodes and I can't even start up with 'Secret Garden' yet.
I want to get this drama so that I can play it at leisure now and then.

i do agree on that with

the director really sacrifices and backs away from Ra Im, when Joo Won forcefully, and very directly has been making it very known how much he wants Ra Im, but the Director really does like Ra Im, but more from a parental, older brother type of role, and looks after Ra Im, and is amused with her cute habits, although I am sure the annoying habit irks or is bothersome to the Director at times, but does feel the "Oppa" role very much with her. Whereas, Joo Won, he sees Ra Im of more of an equal at level. Oska, is obviously still hung up on his one-true love, Seul, but it was more of a diversion, older brother role to Ra Im. Joo Won does degrade himself to a point of totally putting himself on a limb just to show how much he wants Ra Im, even to the point of embarrassment to himself infront of his peers and workplace, Joo Won simply doesn't care what other people think about him, which is so un-asianlike, which I think it is bold and kinda cool
