Lakers win their seventh straight, 100-88, over the Nets.
i would say impressive, as they strung along 7 wins by a semi-comfortable margin, and have regained some stability. I think they if they can keep winning consistently and keep Kobe's minutes lower than say 36min a game, that will help him conserve some energy for the playoffs in late April.

Of course, most of those wins were against teams with losing records...

The Lakers lost to the Clippers 99-92. The Lakers kinda let a 12 point lead slip away. Good job for the Clips though, they're a much different team now than they were at the beginning of the season and the Clippers seem to play their best against the better teams. _________________

Lakers looked like they took their foot off the gas and the Clips made them pay.
Man, I hate watching the Lakers play basketball...

they've been quite inconsistent this season, and Gasol fouled out, and I am surprised to see the Clippers excel so much, despite following up with dismal losses in the past, after winning a better opponent. Lakers have looked tired and played lackluster quarters and have had trouble closing out games, in some games, this one is a good example of that.

When the Lakers pulled away, I think they Lakers thought the Clips would fold..... Instead, the Lakers were the ones who folded.

i'm beginning to make Clippers my "regular season" team -.-; they're pretty damn fun to watch with griffin (duh), gordon and a baron davis that isn't playing like a retard chucking up 3's... i forgot that he jus needs a decent team or he'll never try
on another note.. any laker fans gettin a little worried? we've been pretty crappy all season long... with the exception of a game here or there, he's been playing gawd awful

should melo be traded to the knicks now or be acquired during free agency.
no way, melo will sign a extenstion with the nets.
According to the NY papers Knicks have a zero chance getting him in a trade, have no draft picks to trade and the young players the Nuggets want they don't want to give up, not a Knicks fan but they are a team that's playing as a team, bringing someone like him in might make them worse. Can't see how he or anyone could help the Nets, they have so many young players and high draft picks coming up why get rid of them for a one dimensional player, need a lot more than one player to even come close to the powers in the East or even the MOR teams. _________________

^^ You're right, one of the reasons Stoudemire is because he's the main man, doesn't have to share the stage with Nash, bringing Anthony in would diminish his role, plus the Knicks are stressing D more which Anthony abhors. _________________

^ The Knicks are stressing defense? That's a first with Mike D'Antoni
In other NBA news, Dallas lost their 6th straight, losing to the Pistons. Albeit most of those games are without Nowitzki and Butler, but in a game where Dirk scores 32, they should be able to at least beat Detroit.
Also the Clippers beat Indiana, and Blake Griffin had 47 points and 14 rebounds. Griffin seems like the leader for rookie of the year atm. Or is he eligible, even though he didn't play last year? _________________

I think he's eligible... And looks to be the runaway favorite right now.
