Wow, you HAVE been away from this forum too long!! You've got a better chance of getting an unbiased about communism from Castro than getting an unbiased opinion from this bunch.

^ If and when Geezer starts to watch this Taiga, he can give you an unbiased opinion.

Finished watching Episode 2.

If the Wiki dates are correct, Juri-chan's Go character is supposed to be six or seven years old in this episode....

LOL. Beaten

So unrealistic but I find out it didn't bother me as much as I though.
It could be worse: men playing all women's roles like in Shakespearean times... Sweat

Anyway, loved the episode... well, Juri-chan was in every scene. Victory! Peace!
She really has found her Gō: although portraing a kid, no trace of Nodame's antics.
Still, the scene where Gō meets her idol Nobunaga was hilarious.
(btw. Nobunaga has another fan. Mr Green)

Finished watching Episode 1 with subtitles... I thought it was a strong, well-done opening act... And rather tragic. Sad

Most are well-acted too, especially Ashida Mana. Such a little prodigy.

You mean the little girl who played young Chacha?

I thought she looked like a five-year old Ayase Haruka. Beaten

Just finished watching Episode 2... Another interesting, well-acted episode, I thought. Victory! Peace!

A lot of griping about the age disparity between the roles and the actress playing them, but I let it go, so it didn't bother me one bit... I thought Juri-chan played her wide-eyed, naive girl role perfectly in this episode... Really... Fanboy favoritism aside. Victory! Peace!

And props to the guy in Texas who's doing the subs for this series... I hope he can maintain his level of interest and continue subbing the entire Taiga. Fingers crossed

Greetings everyone. It's nice to see so many fans of this series. Shout out to bmwracer w00t! who requested the softsubs.

As a huge Taiga fan myself, I understand the frustration of watching a series and then having the subber just flat out disappear midway.

I know this project lasts a full year but since it's only once a week, I believe I can handle it without problems.

With my schedule right now, I think the subs can be completed within one week following its original air time, as long as I get my hands on the RAW and script files quickly. If it will take longer than one week, I will let you all know.

Yoroshiku onegai itashimasu.

I was wondering what you thought of the series and Juri-chan's performance so far... Smile
