Me too....Not bad if you like that kind of story. Suzuki Kyoka was great, and even Fukada Kyoko wasn't bad. Maybe the part fit her real personality......

Sigh, having little success downloading obscure dramas, probably too obscure so no one else downloads them, had to abort my last 2 attempts. Doing a few rewatches then, Dragon Zakura finished again for at least the 7th+ time, also giving another shot to Proposal Daisakusen, only so-so the first time thru though am enjoying it more this time. _________________

^ maybe this:
I watched the first episodes of Control and Utsukushi Rinjin, both have tested story lines, the former is about a female cop who has to work with an eccentric professor (Cracker, Galileo etc). I didnft like Galileo much but this seemed ok, hopefully Matsushita Naofs character will be more than just the silly impulsive sidekick without any analytic capacities on her own.
The latter seems to be a vengeance drama of a much higher quality than last seasonfs Guilty. Nakama Yukie makes your (or maybe just mine) blood freeze!

Mind you, I somehow had the feeling that it could go down the Basic Instinct route, they had a ice pick reference.

Finished watching "Muri Na Renai" with Natsukawa Yui and Sakai Masaaki. What an enjoyable drama!! There wasn't a lot of angst which I like....just a sweet romance. Sakai Masaaki's character in the drama made it plausible for a younger woman to fall for him.
Bmwracer, thanks for the recommendation!!!
Since I still haven't started downloading dramas, I've started watching "Go: Himetachi no Sengoku" online. So far, so good!!

Glad you enjoyed it... It was a winning performance by Yui-chan.
You might want to check her out in Top Sales as well... Not much of a romance at all, but another strong performance by her.

I finally got around to finishing Fumo Chitai. I thought it was pretty good. I am sucker for those period piece/historical setting dramas. It is one of the few dramas I recall watching that takes place during the postwar economic period. The only one that comes to mind is Karei naru Ichizoku which I think was written by the same screenwriter.
I enjoyed lead actor Toshiaki Karasawa's performance. I had no idea that was Tomoko Yamaguchi's husband!

Finished a rewatch of Proposal Daisakusen, for 8+ episodes it's a really good show but the last few episodes are just so bad, it's almost liked they changed the writers for those shows. Now on an oldie, Homework, from 1992, finished episode one, zero plot so far but like most of the oldies has plenty of drama. _________________

Though they are not dorama, if you're interested in that particular era, I'd suggest you watch the movie Always and its sequel Always 2. The first is the superior work of the two but both are able to capture effectively the climate of that particular period, especially from a cultural standpoint.

And that makes him one of the luckiest men to stride the earth.
