I know what you mean. When I told my manager that I was feeling sick and wanted to go home, he would say, "If you think you're sick, you're going to be sick so think you feel well!". When the H1N1 virus was all over, upper management made a blanket directive to stay home if you have cold symptoms. I used to hear a chorus of hackers all around me. A lot of employees didn't want to use their sick time just because they were sick.

Yup, that was the case at my last company: any sick time that wasn't used by the end of the year amounted to a bonus check, so people showed up for work sick... One guy had walking pneumonia and infected a bunch of people... He was reported and sent home... But not permanently, unfortunately.
What a selfish moron.

Must be from California.
We've got drivers who speed down roads during rainstorms as if weren't raining.

One New Years eve morning, I was driving home from Marukai and it was pouring so hard that I could only drive 35 mph on the 91 fwy (and so was everyone else). It was coming down in sheets where you couldn't see in front of you. I should've gotten off the freeway but didn't.... This was an exception 'cuz normally like you mentioned rain doesn't slow drivers down at all here.

Wow, it must've been raining really hard for people to actually slow down... A rare event, like an eclipse.

I've never driven in that kind of rain before....usually been home watching it. Actually, there weren't that many people on the freeway although it was about 9:00 am. It lasted about 15 minutes.

What are the chances that a band that you like comes to a country that 80% of the population in the world don't even know where it is? Absolutely below 1%. Considering the fact that Hangry & Angry (aka Hitomi Yoshizawa and Rika Ishikawa from Morning Musume) are 2 of my most favourite people ever in this planet.. I get mad as I write this post. |
So you're really more Angry, than you are Hangry?

Well, be grateful that two of your favorite celebrities, I assume, did not get injured or perish in the recent earthquake in Japan.
