Most definitely.

A lot of Japanese anime movies are comparable, if not better at times, to live action movies, American or Japanese.

trying to add in some posts, while the website is crawling in load times, i hope its not my computer....

anyhow, I would hope that Densha Otoko is never made into an american version, it'll be ruined if it ever did, it should just stick with Japanese.

SOuth Park and Family Guy look like they are animated by children though. Wink

Yup.

That's Hollywood's market for anime... Apparently most American adults can't accept anime as a legitimate art form like live action. Shake Head

Ive gotten my husband to watch several long anime series like Hajime No Ippo but it is hard to get him to accept the more serious anime pieces. Even so he never watched any before so I guess Im doing a slow conversion. Beaten
OT: Staying up too late as usual.
Time to read my latest Norwegian novel, Ringenes Herre. (THe Lord OF The Rings)
Nothing like studying language with one of my all time favorite series. And I wont be needing a new book anytime soon with the length of this one. Sweat

re Anime and early characters in US cartoons

Does anyone remember a cartoon Bird character...big black crow who never flew but walked everywhere with accompanying music and with a hitch in his get along. Like a hiccup in his step every other beat or so. I can remember what it all looked like but I can't remember the title or if he had a name. This goes way back and probably along with Felix the Cat.

Are you sure it was a crow and not a minah bird?
