Thermae Romae (e}GE}G?) is a Japanese manga series by Mari Yamazaki. It won the 3rd Manga Taishō[1] and the Short Story Award at the 14th Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize. Fuji TV has announced it is producing a live-action film adaptation of the manga.[2]
The story is a comedy about Lucius, an architect of public bath houses in ancient Rome. During the manga, he time-travels to various modern-day baths in Japan. Through manga and essay passages, the author explores the two cultures in the world "that have loved baths the most: the Japanese and the Romans".

Not sure what role will Aya have in it? A lead role? Or just someone the main actor meets on his travels? Hope it will be a bigger role....
I read the manga earlier this week, it's funny. Lucius kept popping out of modern bathhouses bewildered and amazed by modern inventions. Aya will probably play a character who shows him around modern-day Japan, my guess.

Sounds like it. But I guess her role will be rather small and short then?

Depends how they write her in, I guess. It's a new character. They could have her take him to different locations and trying things if he lives in modern Japan for extended period of time. Although in the manga, he always go back immediately after a bath or something similar.
Cute CM. Wonder what her next drama will be after Nagareboshi, unusual that there's no news yet.
Me too, me too!!
Talking about classics; can anyone already confirm if Aya is in the Kinpachi Sensei Final Special? ItLs out already. I guess not though...

I don't think she was in it, no. Sadly...
Of course, I hope it's subbed, though!
