Actually, I AM surprised that someone like Ueno Juri gets criticized as well. I thought she's an excellent actress. Guess not all people agree with that.
Oh no... imagine the whole criticisms that will point at Mukai Osamu's portrayal as Hidetada, later. (I'm a fan of Mukai) I need to be ready for that, yosh!
I've really enjoyed Ep8-14 so far, nothing went wrong at all. (Ep4-7 were the lowest points, for me, though) |
I'm just tired of the regurgitating of the same issues about age and Nodame... We're 14 episodes in.... Give it a rest.

I liked the Honno-ji and Akechi plotlines... I thought the dialog between Go and Akechi to be really poignant.
I haven't had any problem with the series so far other than Hideyoshi's over-the-top theatrics.

I posted it a while ago, from Wikipedia's entry on the Sengoku period:
| Quote: | * Nakanunara, koroshiteshimae, hototogisu (If the cuckoo does not sing, kill it.)
* Nakanunara, nakashitemiseyou, hototogisu (If the cuckoo does not sing, coax it.)
* Nakanunara, nakumadematou, hototogisu (If the cuckoo does not sing, wait for it.)
Nobunaga, known for his ruthlessness, is the subject of the first; Hideyoshi, known for his resourcefulness, is the subject of the second; and Ieyasu, known for his perseverance, is the subject of the third verse.

Yup... I think it's more authentic.
I still don't get why Ieyasu didn't have a topknot for six episodes, then poof! he has one.

I agree, but maybe is only so when one is more interested in the ladies.
I don't know what era it was, but I don't think I would prefer black teeth and shaved eyebrows.
