First 2 episodes of Ryokiteki na Kanojo, been good so far, lot funnier than I imagined, think the outcome is already known but think it's still gonna be a good watch. _________________

If you enjoy Yamato nadeshiko, you would probably like Zentai Girl. Same kind of storyline. Poor girl chasing money and a rich guy, then comes a poor but very talented SNAG who changes everything...the only difference is this show comes with kids.
Absolutely LOVED Yamato Nadeshiko. Matsushima Nanako looked so classy in this drama....and I'll never get Misha's song out of my head...."You're everything...." There are a couple of other theme songs that did the same to me...."Ano hi ano toki ano basho de...." in Tokyo Love Story and "Zutto sobani iru to...." in Yasashii Jikan. Everytime I think about one of these dramas the song keeps playing in my head. _________________

Have I missed out any good ones on air now ?
If you don't mind something depressing like Mother or Aishiteru, I'd suggest you try Soredemo, Ikiteyuku. Pretty good, IMO. And also Hanawake no Yonshimai seems fun. _________________

Just watched 1st episode of Hanawake. Well, it's pretty funny but not as good as I expected. Still, I think I'll continue to watch because all 4 sisters are really funny

About to start Bull Doctor, Don Quixote, Soredemo Ikite Yuku, Hanawake no Yon Shimai, and Koukousei Restaurant. I took a look at all three already. Bull Doctor already reminds me a lot of Voice, and not just because it's about a medical examiner solving mysteries and features the ever-lovely Ishihara Satomi. Hanawake no Yon Shimai wasn't on my plan to watch list, but I love the leading ladies and its vibe so I'm looking forward to that. Don Quixote will amuse me, and Soredemo Ikite Yuku is already gunning for my tears. Finally, Koukousei Restaurant is the typical "tough, rebel-type reforms school and its students" drama, but I like those. Plus it features food porn.
Those five are on top of The Greatest Love (a Korean drama), Shiawase ni Narou Yo (waiting on the last 2), Madonna Verde (slow, sloppy subs), Beach Boys (a classic), and Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger (gotta have my tokusatsu).
Sometimes it blows me away how many dramas I watch. XD I mean, I haven't even listed what I've had to put on hold.

I go everytime Sissel sings "Summer Snow". I don't think I can handle those that you mentioned. Even the recently screened feel good drama, "Furusato ~Musume no Tabidachi" got me sniffing because the background looks so much like the coastlines affected by the tsunami.

Episode 7 of Ryokiteki na Kanojo which I'm enjoying more with every episode, still a funny series but did have a sad storyline for a few episodes. Tsuyoshi has been good but he plays more of the fall guy, Rena's character is actually the real funny one in the series. _________________

Just watched Zettai Reido SP. A bit difficult to follow at the beginning but part of the human story was quite poignant, much like the first season. Some of the details seem implausible but nothing major. The second season looks very different, but quite exciting and promising from the preview.
and I thought it was lots of fun. (Thanks for mentioning it BMW)
It's just light summer fun. No heavy melodrama. Just a talented cast having what looked like a great time, and a star who knows his business. _________________

Finished Ryokiteki na Kanojo, not one that'll end up in my top 10 but one of the more enjoyable ones I've viewed, one of those rare dramas that didn't drag at times, so many storylines introduced thoughout kept the pace at a high level. Not sure what's next, was thinking of Overtime. _________________
