that's the funniest thing I've seen in years. Really never saw clothes like that
associated with a motorcycle. Must be 1930's don't you think?
I looked at this and immediately thought 'Tennis anyone?' and then saw that the gal was holding a racket. Does that make it a good ad....
I'll bet he burned his leg on the exhaust pipe wearing those shorts.
Eve. that's not a sports jacket.. It's an old school blazer my dear..... :-)

According to Wiki, the BSA 125 was made in 1948.

That's some history that was so monumental it still carries weight today...even though it was over 50 years ago.

Though those films are rather melodramatic and probably historically inaccurate... As are most historical flicks.

I realized that as soon as I read it. Still it seemed to be something the rowing team would wear. Very sporty. _________________

You're right. You want some accuracy. Watch the mini-series Band of Brothers. Better even than Saving Private Ryan.

It's a very good series.
We saw that. It was real enough to give my vet husband some bad dreams.

Word? That series is no joke. The one episode relating the Battle of Bastogne is one of the most intense pieces of television/video I've ever seen.
Band of Brothers is epic. Winner of 6 Emmy's...nominated for 19.

Sobering for us non-combatants.
WWII...the last war fought by the US not justified by greed, malice, or politics. As has been said, perhaps America's greatest generation.
