We drove our big Dodge Ram up there. Safe and comfortable.

WOOT! ROAD TRIP! Have a great time, senpai!
You got it!! What a blast. Loved the drive up the I-95 corridor too. Relaxing the entire time. Wedding we went to was nice but after we toured all the Memorials. Pics to come soon. My bro who has worked on the Hill for decades gave us the insiders tours and then the day we went to Arlington Cemetery it was raining. A slow steady drizzle that felt appropriate. WE even saw the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. It was all amazing.

I have heard that D.C. has a lot to see, especially lots of museums and other places to visit. Did you see any during your trip?
We did in fact. Will post some pics soon. Saw the Air and Space Museum, all of the Memorials on a three hour walk. And spent a half day at Arlington Cemetery.
It was amazing. _________________

How awesome. I saw all that stuff in the 8th grade! One of the endearing memories of going to a small private school for elementary school form K-8. That school no longer exists and it hasn't for years.
In 8th grade the whole class...20 students, haha, went on a class trip to the Atlantic seaboard to visit many of our country's historical sites, including all the ones you mentioned. I loved it as a young whipper snapper and remember it fondly to this day.

Some random events from this Saturday:
Was in line at the post office, a cell phone rings and at least 5 people grabbed their phones.
And I found more proof that just because kids have graduated from high school that doesn't mean they're particulary smart OR particularly well educated, check this out:
This is from a video a graduating class made. 12 years of education and they still can't spell MANAGED
Edit part 2: Here's the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OMWI5BsOtjk
At about 22 minutes the teachers come on and start talking about how great all these kids are, how much they've learned, how they're ready for society, etc.
What a load of crap!! If any of those teachers were even a little bit honest, they would have said, "Okay, kids, you're about to find out that 90% of the crap we shoveled down your throats the last 12 years is completely useless in the real world. Good luck!!"
I guess they figured one last load of BS wouldn't make any difference.

The Olympic torch is coming through my village tomorrow. Should I be excited?
Yes, in fact you should steal the torch and take it off its pre-determined path and drive around with it. You could stick it out the window with one hand and drive with the other.
