I am hooked by Nagase Tomoya's version of Eternal Flame. Didn't know that it would sound much better in Japanese than the original English version. Maybe its the dominant guitar instead of the original keyboard effects. Tomoya has a very intriguing voice by the way.

Is it the Eternal Flame that was orginally done by The Bangles? I used to <3 that song.

I'm listening to Black Tongue by Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

Oh, yes. That's gotta be at least in my top 5 fave' Morrissey tunes.

He was strictly a "video star" for me in the '80s. He was like a Taiko drum performance, I suppose, meaning that you only get part of the whole idea if you just ended up listening to his songs; you gotta watch his antics, too (via music video). Local radio (Oahu, Hawai'i) hardly played his songs anyway, so, I think that's why I was never inclined to pick up any of his albums at the time. Gotta admit, though, the music on his songs are great as are the very unique lyrics. I did pick up his "greatest hits" compilation yesterday as well (The Man's CD collection reaching total of 30 discs soon, oooh).

Morrisey, you are the Quarry is pretty darned good. He's still got it. I think with this one and with
Prince's Musicology, just recently released as well, I got two Grammy contending records slated for some kind of "best album" category (personally, I think Prince'll finally win his Best Album (overall) Grammy , while Morrissey'll win Best Alternative Rock album. You heard it here first.). Yes!
