Hey there
I know that yoroshiku onegaishimasu means Pleased to meet you
but what does kochirakoso yoroshikuo negaishimasu
does it mean I am also pleased to meet you ?
Anyhow thanks in advance to whoever help me with this little trasnlation
With regards
Alex
hm.. not sure if this belongs in the gokusen fansubbing thread?
kochira koso yoroshiku onegai shimasu - this would be said
if someone said to you "yoroshiku onegai shimasu."
so your translation is correct. it could be either said by the other person, or yourself depending on who said "yoroshiku onegai shimasu" first.
You or the other person can even make it less formal, by saying
"kochira koso" or "kochi koso." _________________

amrayu, just to let you know I've made it so the Gokusen torrents on d-addicts won't be deleted by the auto pruning system. ADQ can have its torrent be made permanent on d-addicts. Keep up the good work

So what is the status of this project? I'm considering helping, or perhaps just doing it. I do have other projects I could do, but I've enjoyed what I've seen so far of this show so wouldn't mind helping.

Nearly all the eps have been translated already, 1 and 3 have been released (3 first because someone previously did 1 and 2); and 2 is coming very very soon, it's being timed right now if i understand.
I wouldn't recommend doing it yourself, there was a few people PO'd a few days ago because two groups were doing the live action concurrently. Ah well.

Actually THREE groups are doing it, there's a group releasing it on womby's tracker and they're up to ep 6.

Okay, I won't worry too much about it. However, if I like a show enough it doesn't really matter to me if another group is doing it, I do it anyway. I do translations and subbing for my own & close friends enjoyment, for broader public is a minor concern to me, which is why I don't get involved in any kind of distribution, I've only put scripts out. From there, it's out of my hands. I do appreciate the occasional email of appreciation and/or asking for permission I've gotten, and encouraged one person to report to EBay who got ripped off by buying a fansub on EBay that was based on my script.
I've got other projects to complete, so I won't get into this project just yet then.

Just to satisfy my curiosity, which series was this? I'm running a campaign of my own on eBay to ban the sale of fanworks. And so far, I've been able to shut down three different sellers.

GTO was the particular series in question. This seller was also selling many other anime titles and shows that I know licensed english subtitled versions do not exist.
fob version has been out... they always produce good quality drama.
and I've seen ADQ version... also in a good quality
so I don't care which one is better, which series out first I'll take it... so I'll be mixing fob and ADQ releases

i could lend a hand, once my exams are over.
i don't speak japanese,
but since i have the korean subtitles i could just translate the file into japanese
(no muss, no fuss)
although i guess then the dialogue would sound a little unnatural at times.
just a thought, if there's nobody else around to do it.
thanks for the kind offer.
actually i've found some helpers to help out with gokusen. the helpers are undercover now..they will be revealed later on.
Episode 2, will come out next week some time.
