hmm.. Vcd sets? i've grown out of vcds for awhile. but i've made my own vcds for a long time (since 1998, so for about 7 years now?)
i have vcd sets of buffy the vampire slayer, angel, smallville, lois and clark, roswell, ah... and countless others.
as for dvds, that is my current passion also. i probably have around 100+ store bought dvd movies.. not really sure how much.
and as for jdramas/kdramas.. i have vcd sets and tapes that i've been collecting since 1995 or 1996 (so almost 10 to 8 years). plus that doesn't count the crap i've been downloading and trading this past year.. lol (which is all on cd-r and dvd-r) i wont even bother counting how many drama dvd-rs/cd-rs i have. _________________

Me too! Matter of fact, I now despise trading for VCDs... I can copy my own VCDs 100-percent of the time. But for some reason, copying VCDs made by other people is like trying to pass the Bar Exam... I only have a 85-percent success rate in copying those VCDs. What I'm doing nowadays is extract the DAT files off the VCDs I already have, run VCDGear through them to make sure they're formatted properly, then burn them to DVD-ISO format. If someone wants the series in VCD, I'll then make the VCDs from scratch, rather than trying to do a VCD-to-VCD copy.
Otherwise... Looking at my current list, I probably have over 100 VCD sets, but stored either in MPEG-1/2 file format, or in CloneCD image format across DVD-ISO discs. And, being an anal-retentive person, I also back up my raw TV captures in 720x480 format onto DLT tape (about 30GB per tape, with about 4GB per episode) in case someone wants a series in DVD quality.

I'm pretty sure that you have a lot of Yonekura Ryoko DVDs/VCDs though? _________________

I don't have as many as I'd like, but I'm not going to buy non-subbed VCDs/DVDs to add to my list of 170+ VCD/DVD/LD discs...

In the past 2 years I just got into J-dorama's. Most of what I have has been from d/ling and trading. Most are in vcd/svcd format.
But I also have starting recording from our local japanese station to dvd.
My first love is Korean dramas. Been watching them for over 15 years. Can't even imagine how many dramas I have on tape. But have a closet that is packed with vhs tapes. Must be over 750 tapes, probably a lot more than that. I stopped recording to tape a few years ago. Now everything i done is to dvd-r. And I am slowly trying to convert those vhs tapes at least the good quality ones to dvd-r. What a time consuming process.
Lets not even get into movies and tv series on dvd. I started buying dvds when they first came out in April of 1997. I probably have about 700 dvds in my collection. My kids also must have over 500 in their collection.
What is worst ever since I found out about korean movies on dvd with subtitles I have gone on a buying spree. In the past 2 years i have brought over 100 korean movies on dvd as well as 15 korean drama dvd boxsets. I think I need some type of therapy.
