I like their friendship. He seems like a funny, easy-going guy. When you see him in interviews he seems so different than the Iki character he played in Fumo Chitai.

Surprise Birthday Celebration for Takenouchi Yutaka and Inoue Mao

The Japan premiere of the movie 'Taiheiyou no Kiseki ~ Fox to Yobareta Otoko' was held in Tokyo on the 13th. A huge birthday cake was presented to lead actor Takenouchi Yutaka and actress Inoue Mao, who celebrated their birthdays earlier in the month. Takenouchi turned 40 on January 2, while Inoue turned 24 on January 9.
After taking photos in front of the media, Takenouchi was preparing to give his last words when the announcer suddenly cut short his introduction. Instead, they brought out a huge birthday cake to surprise the two actors. Takenouchi and Inoue each stood on separate sides of the cake to blow out the candles. Inoue says she was suprised by the size of the cake as it was her first time seeing one so big. With this year being the year of the rabbit and Inoue being born under the same zodiac sign, she hopes that the year will bring good things her way. Stepping into his forties this year, Takenouchi says "It's amazing....I'm so happy. I think most importantly I just want to enjoy myself and take on different challenges this year."
Directed by Hirayama Hideyuki, Taiheiyou no Kiseki opens in theaters February 11.

This is the most relaxed I've seen him. Usually in interviews he's so serious and uncomfortable. In here you see him driving, laughing, eating, painting!

I think Karasawa Toshiaki is one of, if not the most talented actor Ive seen in a jdrama. He was marvelous as TOshiie, Love Comples, Fumo Chitai.
All very diverse roles. _________________

I love Karasawa Toshiaki too. Very underated. I think it must be a lot of fun and jokes in the Karasawa-Yamaguchi household.
