He's brilliant in Shinsengumi. He really brought Yamanami back to life. I can't imagine someone else being Yamanami but him. I lost interest in the whole series after Yamanami's death in ep. 33, that's just how great his influence was for me. And yeah.. that pic above doesn't do him justice. I'll look for a better pic and ask if jdorama will change it ^_^; |

Hanzawa Naoki pushed me to put in this vote. Sakai is a fantastic actor. He can have such a strong voice at some times, and at other times he can sound like such a sweet, kind guy. His facial expressions are perfect when he says his lines. He knows exactly what kind of face his characters should have with every single line he has to say. He's wonderful! |
