Kusunoki Taiga is a struggling second-generation actor who has developed a complex due to his father, a famous actor in his time. For the most part, Taiga only gets to appear in variety shows. One day, when his friend brings him out skydiving, a big wind drags him away from the dropping point and he gets stuck in a tree. A beautiful woman, Shiori, rescues him. Shiori is a cheerful woman who laughs away all of her worries. She's exactly the opposite of Taiga...

1. Good romantic comedy [Rating: 8/10]
This is a good, well-written, well-acted romantic comedy jdorama. Not a revolution, nothing too original or unforgettable about it, but well-rounded and very pleasant to watch.

I agree with Wynter as I had the same concern about having Matsumoto Jun in a lead role, but he ended up doing his usual act, not impressive but not bad enough either that it comes in the way of the story.
As for Takeuchi Yuko, she brings to the series the same great acting, romantic vibe and comedic quality that can be found in her other romantic comedies (Pride, Bara no nai Hanaya, Lunch no joou, etc.)

The one element that surprised me is the fairly realistic storyline. Although it is a romance and we would have forgiven some unrealistic development just to allow the love story to unfold, it stays in the realm of realism, particularly considering the special situation of a single-mother.

If you are looking for a well-done romance, this one will work for you

2. Better Than I Thought [Rating: 8/10]
I was a little nervous about this one because MatsuJun was it, but I had faith in Takeuchi Yuko and therefore had some hope. I was not disappointed. Takeuchi Yuko played a great character really well and I loved seeing her in the role of a struggling mother. MatsuJun was sorta just there for the first half of the show, but he eventually grows on you and then things aren't so bad. Good show overall.

I know people will want to kill me for saying it, but Matsumoto Jun really is a very lousy actor. The creators of this show must have realized this, because he appropriately stars in this as a bad actor. Yuko Takeuchi is, as always, excellent, but there is absolutely no chemistry between the two. This drama was obviously conceived in a meeting, as some sort of acting musical chairs. They must have sat around pulling names out of a hat, until they realized that every actress has stared with every actor, except for these two. It doesn't work very well. I do have to commend it though for being very watchable anyways; it has a realistic pace to the romance, that keeps building gradually, rather than jumping straight in and then going back and forth like the average drama does. In summary, a horrible idea that's pleasant to watch.

I'll repeat a lot of what the others said. This was a surprisingly good drama! The acting was a little overdone at times, but the writing was strong. Great pacing, no frustrating cliffhanger endings. The relationships were realistically portrayed. Sure, the leads have done better work elsewhere, but everything came together for a very watchable drama.

Matsujun sucks as always, but dorama is kinda stupid anyway so it kinda fits there, lol. Whole thing is also kinda unintetionally comical at times but don't get me wrong, I still somehow really liked this. It's lighthearted and fun to watch, and that's good enough for me really (I guess I just like style of this scriptwriter) :).

i am surprised at how much i like this drama. is simple, direct, outright plot. as simple as I LOVE U and U LOVE ME. can i just say Matsujun is cute as a young boyfriend.
Takenouchi is adorable too. and little UMI! kawaii~~
is a nice drama especially if u are looking for romance story with not much heartbreak scene involved.

Best english title for a summer romance drama! Watchable, light-hearted and enjoyable. Nothing really sticks out or grabs you with this drama, but it's great to see Takeuchi Yuko back after a few years away, and she's as cute as ever!
7. Comments by loveaomori [Rating: 7/10]
I think that the chemistry between the two wasn't so bad but it's not the best love story I've watched, definetly. Matsu jun plays a bit too often the same type of roles..I would like to see him in a different type of drama.

An entertaining light romance drama. Nothing truly excellent that stood out, but it was decent enough to follow for a season. Takeuchi Yuko is too cute!

Average romance - pretty formulatic but has one twist, or novelty if you like. It's very easy to watch but a little forgettable.

Overall it was a beautiful story. Matsumoto Jun has been acting much better than usual. Yuko Takeuchi was once again fabulous.

Awesome drama, albeit way too short! Would've loved to see a lot more of Taiga, Shiori and Umi. =( Nonetheless great drama!

Jun Matsumoto and Yuko have a solid acting performance.
funny and romantic!
Umi, the kid here is kawaii too

In a classic case of art imitating life, Jun Matsumoto plays an actor that can't act. Yuko great as always.
16. Comments by Wynter [Rating: 8/10]
Takeuchi Yuko is wonderful as a struggling mother and MatsuJun is more than tolerable. Great Show.

I didn't expect much from the dorama but it surprised me a lot! It's very real (her story and her feelings), the development of their relationship is not typical for Matsujun's doramas... I just liked it a lot.
