Excellent! The lead actress is simply stunning, with all the other female stars dazzling with their beauty and acting. A stirring and exciting drama, where the men are not protagonists. Highly recommended! Ditch the soapy korean period dramas, those are nowhere as good as this one! Fast-paced, subtle, touching, exhilarating battles among women, with humorous little snippets injected everywhere. And did I mention that the women and their kimonos are glittering from beauty? |

The main leading woman is annoying. Actually this is kind of boring compared to the first one. I am QUICKLY tiring of the same things going on and on all the time. Too much emphasis on the king's childhood, not enough on the women. Except the locked up one.....which was boring. |

Jan 2005: This is actually the first japanese historical drama i've ever watched, this drama is fast paced, with intersting storyline, well how the girls fight for their status in Ooku, btw, hoshino mari is getting prettier, no more chubby face =D. |

I saw some episodes of Narita Rikon and I can't believe Sato Asaka was in it!! She seems to be another one of these actresses whose face gains significant inches and area with time. (another representative is Shinohara Ryoko) |
