Trick 2 continues to explore the world of illusion and as a result, Yamada Naoko and Ueda Jiro continue to rely on eachothers' abilies to bring the "tricks" into light. As their relationship grows, so to does their need to bring to light the answers to the many mysteries.

the plots make at least a little more sense, that is the criminals no longer kill themselves for no apparent reason, there are fewer unexplained scene changes and the humor that remains is less juvenile, however they removed much of the heart and soul which was Hiroshi and Yukie's constant bickering

If you enjoyed season one you will love season too just as much. Same basic plot with new "Tricks" and same awesome cast.

Trick II looses nothing from the original drama Trick. Same magic among the cast and same interesting mysterious stories. If you loved the first one like I did then you will love the 2nd one too. Also a side note that if you did not happen to see the first season but you have a chance to see Trick Ii then see it. You can still watch this and enjoy it even without the background of Trick.
