In the show "The Announcer," which stars Miki Mizuno as a first year announcer, she and Rie Tomosaka, another first year announcer, soon find out that they were both raised on very different sides of the tracks. This show which begins airing in January, follows Makoto Ootsuki (22), played by Miki Mizuno, a first year announcer at a television station in Tokyo. Born in Iseshima, Mie Prefecture, Makoto goes through some very trying times as she tries to adjust to the Tokyo lifestyle after being chose from a few thousand candidates to become an announcer.

I watched this drama several times because of Mizuno and Hideaki. I think their love story is beautiful. I hoped they stayed closer, though.I cried a lot with every episode and the lessons they teach about newsreporting. I like this drama a lot!

i thought this drama is really good. it is very entertaining, though i personally feel there isn't a very solid storyline, but it just keeps you watching, great job by the leads!

I am more of a fan of MIKI MIZUNO. The drama tries to touch on some of the problems women have working in the news environment. I had just finished SHIROI KAGE which is pretty serious so I enjoyed this being not so serious.
