Younha is an 18 years old native Korean who signs perfectly in Japanese. She is the one that got me interested in Jmusic, mainly because of her hit-single Houki Boshi but also because of her other songs I really like. Some songs I recommend..

i doubt that....i thought, if not mistaken, there was another thread or more of Korean artists, like BOA...

i bump my threads all the time...sometimes people come around and join in, other times you have to carry the load yourself, and hope down the line, people get in, and contribute/comment.

just starting one, is a good idea, but you have to maintain it, to keep in on page 1, to get people interested, viewing it.

haven't heard of her, but good work in starting one up on this singer.

i like the song houki boshi because of anime Bleach... maybe i shld try her others songs.. hmmm maybe...

Ok, I'm totally bumping this thread. Actually, I'm glad I used the search feature and found it, instead of making a new one. LOL!

I just started listening to Younha a few months ago and am totally blown away by her talent. I knew her from the ending song to Bleach, Houkiboshi. Since I started listening to Korean music, I stumbled up on her Korean album. Amazing stuff. I'm pretty sure some people in here have heard of her before.

Anyways, I think I have a new project for myself, keeping this thread alive. Hehehehe. :rofl: :hehe:

I know she looks lovely. But did you know that she became famous by participating with a talent show in Japan ? But eventually didn't won it because she didn't look "cute" enough to the people of the show ? :bonk:

Really? Boo! That's kind of terrible. If it's a talent show, shouldn't it have been based on just the talent instead of the looks. :grumble:

I've seen this before! I'm actually really glad that SM rejected her because SM has a reputation for conforming their artists to a certain image, which would most likely end up being a bad thing for Younha. I'm relieved she's not connected with SM. :hehe:

Apparently she'll be going to Japan in February, to record more Japanese songs.

Some news on Younha.

Singer Younha will suspend her career in Korea and leave for Japan.

The singer will resume her career in Japan by participating in the opening ceremony of Japan Week 2008 on Jan. 18 as a Korean goodwill ambassador.

The event will be held from Jan. 20 to Feb. 29 by the Japanese Ministry of Land and Transport to draw ten million foreign tourists to Japan in 2010, which has been designated as "Visit Japan" year.

The opening ceremony will be attended by Japanese government officials. Younha will tell the audience about her singing career in the two countries and will stage a small live concert.
