Now I think of it wasn't Kid, Kuro-yan's student buddy in the US too?
I just loved the introduction of the Eqyption Squad :hehe:
I don't read manga anymore... so I can't tell the difference. same goes for the OST I remember I have it somewhere... music just disappears somewhere on my HD's :/
A friend of mine has been trying to convence me forever to watch yakitate japan. Didn't know if it was worth it though. Probably because she tends to get a littled spazed out on weird anime . Aside from her I didn't know of anyone else who'd seen it. Since you guys speak so highly of it I'll give it a shot though.
Got some new anime in today.
Im really excited! :woot: :yippee: :dancing:
The first episode of Gankutsuou (The Count OF Monte Cristo) was very good and the new look of the animation was very stylish and luxurious. Appropriate for this piece taking place on Luna where all desires can be satisfied.
@ Melody-chan
Enjoyed the first ep of Sukisyo too. Its cute.
Im saving Naruto up through 143 for later. I ADORE that series!! :inlove:
i used to think yakitate jp was boring but good thing i didnt give it up! ii guess if u watch too many cooking/food competition it gets tiring.. see, if u watch something like Shota no Sushi (jdrama), ..something curry (manga), then Cooking Master Boy.. you get the same resemblance having a stonger opponent and shows lots of interesting cooking secrets and slurs.. the main character always wins... but i give YJ another A+ cuz its hella funnier and i love the soundtrack, plus i love bread (as i used to work in a bakery)
oh yeh i always had a feeling that the owner of St. Pierre was Azuma's friend when he was a boy...
@eve, so you're starting to watch gankutsuou? u picked the right choice! i know some peeps would say that this is one of the boring story ever.. i agree, but wait till you pass ep.8 thats when the whole revenge thing starts, and wait til you see the mecha CG fighting too.. :victory: haha enjoy enjoy.. i wont spoil it for you, the ending is BLEH but who cares? the whole revenge plot is sweet! :say_cool:
I watched 2 episodes of gankutsuou, even though you could call it stylish, I didn't like the psychedelic feel. the hair n clothing actually annoyed me enough not to continue watching it
as for One Piece: I'm currently at episode 108, that Vivi story keeps dragging on...
lol thats kinda like old news heheh but its cool, welcome to the boards :victory:
@terryb> thats the only thing i hate, they're so draggy, why cant they just keep fighting and move on. are u at the part where they have like 2 seconds left, but the show took them 3-4 episodes to stop the ____ :hehe: sorry dont wanna spoil ya .. but you'll know what i mean when u get there

LMAO and I thought i could be impatient with anime, not too sure which part you mean. but some random things I really can appreciate in One Piece so far:
Spoiler — click to reveal Zoro: when he strikes the pose like the statue of liberty haha :hehe: or Smoke (the marine captain) smoking not 1 but 2 cigars at once.
Nami: her reminders towards everyone about their debts. All the characters teeth when they are angry:

Really. I find it very original and fresh though I wouldnt want every anime to look like it. A little hard on the eyes. Still Im finding it intriguing watched another episode tonight.
BTW Terryb I like the way you did the invisible spoiler. Ill be imitating you in the future.
OOOOooh so genma finally added that.. cool.. :applaud:
Spoiler — click to reveali know what you mean on zoro that was my fav. part too :hehe: also if you reach near the 158-160.. theres a part when zoro was testing his voice and did the tarzan call n nami was bitching about it, that was hella funny
MixxDreamer wrote:yay! ^ something to look out for this weekend heheh, do u guys ever read the manga instead? but the anime is also entertaining
anyway, i have a feeling yakitate! japan....
i would most certainly have to agree....this anime is quite hilarious and has made me laugh like no other anime has in quite some time, perhaps since ranma 1/2...i really enjoy watching it....i'm not quite caught up to the most recent episode but it's been a barrel of laughts thus far.
