I just finished watching it... I absolutely loved it! Eita and Ueno Juri have cemented themselves as two of my favorite Japanese stars.

Currently digging up the soundtrack...

Well, easily at least.

Yeah, it really is a shame! It's becoming a running gag that he can't seem to get Ueno Juri easily.

Omg so true! You didn't get the girl in Medaka. :shakehead:

Finished watching it yesterday. Fun movie, although Eita was the focus here...

Spoiler — click to revealAnd really, you'd think Eita + Juri would result in a better-looking child... not somebody like 'Mushroom' there.

LOL! Omg, I never considered that! I guess it's just in keeping with the quirkiness of the movie.

In hindsight, who's to say who really needed Vidal Sassoon? :hehe:

I thought the point was that

Spoiler — click to revealhe didn't get the girl.

Spoiler — click to revealHm. The way Eita wrapped it up by asking if he could change his name seemed to hint at the possibility that he was going to "change" the future. That, and all the flashbacks that kept pointing out the link between Tamura and Haruka (as his mother) always made me think that somebody in their group was the father... and the logical choice would be whoever took Juri to the B-movie.

Really, the movie keeps it open to any possibility.

I didn't think that was the case... I thought he was just joking.

Spoiler — click to revealAnd since Mushroom does exist, he must've gotten the girl, ne?

Spoiler — click to reveal Yeah, I think he's definitely the father - he's going to do whatever he can to get with that cute little short haired brunette photographe - even if it involves messing up the space time contiuum. :muack:

It's probably going to spoil the fun (of speculating) but I beg to differ:

Spoiler — click to revealTamura said that his mother (Haruka) was in the same university, but he would have said his 'parents' if his father was one of the sci-fi club boys.

Hmm, looks like I'm gonna have to re-watch this movie over the long holiday weekend. :victory:

That's what I was thinking, too. It is ambiguous enough that anything is possible, but who knows.

Personally, I want to make my own comic based on it for the events after the movie. ;) *adds to extremely long "to do" list*
