First Kiss

That's really upsetting.
Considering the fact that I felt First Kiss was really good.
Maybe other viewers didn't feel that way.

But when you said if fell out of the Oricon charts..
was it there before? In the Top 10 Most Satisfying Dramas?

How many episodes are there in the series ? Is it 10 or 11 ? The official website just has 10, but fansubbers have ep 11...is this a special ?

As for the final rating...I can see where it was going. I mean, the show itself started off strong, but by the end it felt to drag and taper off near the end, not to mention the conclusion by most accounts was far too open-ended to be considered satisfying IMHO.

That's not to say I didn't enjoy the series, but it's one of those that I thought could've been much better.

This is what I gleaned from other forums; people in the know pls correct me if I'm wrong.

Oricon usually does 3 surveys for each season's dramas. First one is the anticipation rating (which dramas people anticipate the most before they air); 2nd one a mid-season check-point for the most satisfying dramas to date; and a 3rd one after all the dramas are ended.

I only remembered 'First Kiss' being in the top 10 for the 1st survey, dropped to the 10th spot in the mid-season survey, and fell out of the top 10 list in the final one.

on episode 4. enjoying it so far. i think the script is good. the conversations are very enjoyable. but the story is pretty repetitive

me too!! o well but i also enjoyed watching this drama..mio is such a spoiled brat.. reminds me of myself when i was little...i'm not a brat anymore!! but i'm still spoiled :hehe: and yuuki-sensei is really cute...they look cute together hehe..i't a very inspiring drama actually..and the bro-sis love that i've never felt since i'm an only child.. :shamefulcry:

it was an ok series for me. i liked mio and yuki's story line, thats it. thats the only thing that was going for me. yuta was really cute! omfg. he can be my doctor any time! :mrgreen: yuta and inoue look good together :D

I have to agree with your comments here! The first few episode did interest me but going towards the end, it got rather boring and there were too many sub-plots that was under-used. About the ending, i was very dissapointed by the ending cause I expected more but I would still say that it was a decent drama. This aside, I thought the music for this drama was good

Definitely agreed here. Not since Iryu have I liked a soundtrack, and the main theme is definitely in my Top 5.

no. hehe I'm optimistic. gladly, the ending was just like what I want to see. but this story really made me touched.

Mao is totally different than Makino (HYD) she is really talented & knows how to act yet I didn't like the story :shakehead: couldn't even complete the first episode!

i've just started watching this drama. i've enjoyed a lot. hehe i really accomplished my goal. i didn't read the spoilers.... :sweat:

I've watched this drama twice already. It was actually more fun the second time around.

Okay, here's the thing with First Kiss. I thought Inoue was great (though sometimes annoying, but still great), and of course Ito, who is extremely good-looking and exudes sex appeal - was as charismatic as ever.

But nothing really happens in this show. The plot is slim and the focus is more on character development. It was fun to watch while it lasted... but there's no pleasant after taste. There's no bad after taste, either. It's just... there.

I'm almost wondering if they're making a second season, because the first was left unresolved.

Do I recommend it? Only if you have nothing else to watch.

i could not really continue watching past ep1. i made up my mind after hearing her talking in English to that nurse/dr when she was about to go into surgery saying something like "you are about to ..." i leave the rest to people who have seen this scene and this drama. :grumble:
it was most annoying drama for me where i got to that conclusion that mao is not a good actress as everyone think she is. :bonk:
and for those who would say "you only seen one ep" i tried it later on and watched 3 more eps and it still was annoying as before. :bleh:

This Dorama is Very Interesting!!
I love Mao Inoue when act in this dorama.. ^_^
