alright.. i have to agree with the rest that the plot really sucks and lame..
but i do hope (please don't kill me for this.. :fingerscrossed: ) for Boss 2.
:bonk: i mean, i really like the chemistry between the cast. it is a good stress reliever drama after a harsh day at work.

Great cast but I dropped out after episode 1. Scriptwriter/s shoud be ashamed of themselves.

I'm still watching it, but if they were to have a BOSS 2 they should definitely invest in some different writers. [/list:u]

From some of the reviews, it'd be better to forego any sequel... One Gokusen is enough...

Took me awhile to see this post.

And you are probably right, AD! :D

Got routed to it from the Got Something TO Say thread. :headscratch:

gaijinmark wrote:Finished ep1, I thought it was pretty good, obviously more style than substance but there's nothing wrong with that. I knew how every "Dirty Harry" movie was going to turn out and I still watched them. [/list:u]They're going to need more than this to carry them through 11 episodes that's for sure but I managed to slog thru Rikon Bengsohi 2 and Topcaster. I already know this is going to be better than those.

Whew, someone didn't hate it! :applaud: Watched episode one tonight, sure no awards for it, but entertaining and quite a solid cast, then again, only the 1st episode, hope to keep my optimism. :fingerscrossed:

Up to episode 5, true that 2 wasn't that great, but 4 and 5 were so good with Kimoto getting kidnapped, :applaud: sometimes it's nice to watch a drama where it doesn't require too much thinking, not that I often worry about it.

Just finished Boss. This was an ok dorama, nothing outstanding but nothing really bad at the same time. The acting was average and the same to the plot; some episodes were better than others, specially 9 and 4-5, those 3 were really great. Episodes 4-5 were really intense and Yamada Takayuki really brought his A game for episode 5, the guy just rocks; episode 9 was good too, the plot was a lot like Fight Club but still good. The female main characters, Eriko(Amami Yuki) and Kimoto(Toda Erika), were really annoying, i love both actressLs but i really canLt stand their characters in this, they were never funny and when they tried to be serious they failed big time(specialy Kimoto). ILm a guy but i have to say that i enjoyed the male characters much more, all of them even Hanagata(Mizobata Junpei). Yamamura(Nukumizu Youichi), the gay one(canLt remember his name and Nodate(Takenouchi Yutaka) allways cracked me up, really funny characters, they made Boss much more enjoyable. I rate this a 7 because i was entertained, but episodes 4, 5 and 9 deserve more than 7.

Can't argue with really anything there, :applaud: really wish Yutaka's role was bigger, not really sure why he would bother with a role like that. Episodes 4 and 5 were the best, :victory: Yamada was the best of the cast, he's always been fairly good in most of his roles, episode 8 with him was really good. Erika could sit there with a bag over her head but it'd still be worth watching. :hehe:

I enjoyed this drama, especially Takenouchi Yutaka's acting. I didn't know he's such a fine comedic actor. The scenes where he was present were such a hoot!

The scenes in the last episode where Takenouchi appeared with Takashi Sorimachi brought back glorious memories of the Beach Boys. I was firmly in Sorimachi's camp in those years, after getting swept off my feet by his suave performance in GTO. But I must say Takenouchi aged better! :metaldevil:

Solid acting from the rest of the cast too. My favourite guest star was definitely Manami Konishi. She looked awesome and was awesome.

My only complaint about this drama is the tiresome gag about baldness and hair tonic. It wasn't even funny the first time round and they had to do it every episode. :banghead:

But on the whole, I enjoyed the show. :applaud: :applaud: :applaud:

Didn't know Sorimachi was in episode 11, only up to 9, about to watch episode 10, at 95% downloaded. :banghead: Konishi's episode(8) was quite good, :dancing: they do draw in some good guests, episode had Namase Katsuhisa, :dancing: he's prtetty known for those wig jokes from Trick. Agree with you about it being enjoyable, nothing more nor less, worth a watch if you're curious...at 95.2%. :usuck:

Episodes 10 and 11 are a 2-parter, Sorimachi is in both, episode 10 blew me away, wish the whole series was as good, can't wait for the finale! :applaud:

The finale's enjoyable too. I figured out the plot twist but it was pretty well executed. I don't think you'll be disappointed. :woot:

Whew, finally finished it, those last 2 episodes were so good, :victory: wish they were all like that. Would rate episodes 1-9 a seven, though episodes 4, 8, 9 were quite good, others were only so-so, last 2 episodes I'd rate a ten, overall a 7.5/10, won't give away any spoilers, but there were quite a few twists at the end, perhaps too many, Sorimachi's guest spot was quite good too. I'd recommend it, neither good nor bad but enjoyable. :applaud:

i actually think this drama is pretty nice cause most of the time i was shocked by the twists in the episodes.
awesome acting for takenouchi yutaka and amami yuki, the rest did pretty well too. and i think tetsuji is hot!

given the ending of the drama, anyone thinks there is a possibility for a second season?

What?! :shamefulcry: Now that was one good drama, really interesting with some likeable flaky characters, glad it's official now. :victory:
