YES! It's really addictive. The quest line is relatively simple, and in some parts repetitive, but the story is solid and there is so much stuff to do that even the receptiveness is barely there. I highly recommend it.

Sounds good...with the cheap prices of videogames b/c holiday sales are in effect right now I might as well pick it up.

Thanks :)

That looks awesome. I'm playing Gran Turismo 5 right now...the graphics are mind blowing and the dynamic weather effects are insanely good looking.

I've been thinking about getting this, but I need to spring for a steering wheel first....

I'm sure it's much better with a wheel...I'm using the standard controller and thus far it's adequate.

Logitech seems to be the one of choice... I bought a Logitech Momo Force wheel and pedals on eBay. :victory:

Too bad there's no GT5 for the PC. :(

The closest PC game to GT5 is probably GTR2:

That looks amazing. Seriously.

Those shots of GT5 and GTR2 look really good. The Gran Turismo games have always looked great, and there are mods for GTR2 that enhance the graphics. Either way, two great racing series and I look forward to playing both.

BTW 'racer, thanks for the heads up on ebay. I checked out ebay and found some used copies of Uncharted 2 going for about $30. :victory:

Uncharted 2 is so much fun. Totally worth it. I am fortunate enough to have a good friend who works for Sony Computer Entertainment as a video game designer so he was able to give me both Uncharted games for free. :woot:

Granted, those 'caps are at the highest res available and you need to have some pretty solid PC hardware to get that photo-realistic quality.

Which is why I've been searching for a good videocard these past few weeks.

Even Amazon has some sellers selling good used stuff: I bought Race 07 for $6.00... And got free shipping from the seller as well. :victory:

ACHTUNG!

Check out the ever powerful German 1944 KUBELWAGEN TYP82

With a monster displacement of 985cc and a bone crunching 22HP this Gran Turismo 5 race is sure to be one for the ages!

I was awared one in GT5 already so I can pretend to be a Republican candidate for Congressional office in Ohio and relive "the good days" of the Third Reich. Ah, the memories!

I just ran a few races on the Top Gear track with the McLaren F1 Stealth Model...this car is a fuggin' beast. I can barely control it...I'm knocking over cones left and right. :hehe:

Thus the need for a wheel and pedals setup.

Yeah this was by far the most powerful car in my garage...by orders of magnitude....but I'm seeing that with these super high powered cars that the standard controller might be a bit lacking when you really consider it.

Is that mod or a standard feature of the game?
I live wacky cars as much as the sophisticated ones :beaten:

This is the wheel-pedal controller to buy: the Fanatec Porsche 911 Turbo S Wheel and ClubSport Pedals:

A mere $700.
