GT5 is becoming a bit of grind, and I've only made it to level 14. I need to get to 15 in order to play the S License tests, so I've been playing some A-Spec and Special events in order to level up. I feel like I'm playing a RPG. Also trying to get the trophy for taking a '07 GT-R and beating the time of 7:28.03 on the Nurburgring in Time Trial mode. I only managed a time of 7:33 at best so far :(

Thank you! I'll be sure check out the thread :victory:
I need to start saving up money for all the games coming out next year. Just finished watching the trailer for Uncharted 3 and it's looking great. Mass Effect 3 will be coming out next year as well, along with Forza Motorsport 4 and Batman: Arkham City. I best get to finishing the games I have now because that's a nice lineup of games coming out.

Once you finish a game is that the end of it?
You don't play the game ever again?
For the majority of games, yes. I'm not really one to go back to try to collect all items or get an achievement. I suppose the thrill of a game is only there when I first play it, and once I'm done with it that thrill is replaced by a feeling of going through the motions if I play it again.

I'm like this too. I mostly play RPGs so the story and exploration are major motivating factors. The only games I recall replaying are Final Fantasy VII, VIII, and XIII, and Uncharted 2. Some RPGs take a long time to finish, and I usually have a new game I want to start.
The new Shogun 2 Total War looks good, but I need to buy a new graphics card and a couple of other things to be able to play... Anyone played the original Shogun?
ª I think I have not played the original one. :shakehead:
Is the original one more interesting ?
Recently I just replayed Call of Duty from Modern Warfare 1 until Black Ops except World At War (I lost the installer... :shamefulcry: ).
But, I am focusing on DoTA training right now for my internal DoTA tournament (even though I am not good enough... :shamefulcry: ).
Well, I will try my best to not make a mess with my team mates.

Seems like a waste if you can get to the top level and then just toss the game aside.

Yeah, it can certainly be a wasted opportunity. I felt that way with NCAA Football '11. Bought it when it came out and played for about three weeks before deciding to stop once I won a championship. I did go back to play a 12-game season online, but I stopped completely once that was over. That's $64 for about two months of play. I won't be buying another sports game new ever again.
I imagine it'd be worse had I bought a PS3 when it first came out. It'd be painful to have spent $500 on a system to play $60 games I finish in two weeks. Thankfully, since I bought the system earlier this year, I have plenty of Greatest Hits games to buy at cheaper prices

Yeah, I was always concerned about the money invested in games, which is why I've been patient and looked for bargains.
Though this recent surge in driving sim interest has cost me a force feedback wheel/pedals and a new video card.

You got the racing game cheap, and with the amount of cars and tracks out there I'm sure you'll get plenty of playtime :victory:
A friend of mine started playing Fallout 3, and I think I'll fire up that game again so I can finally finish it.
I'm still at it with GT5. While I don't like the lack of damage and the poor A.I. the driving itself is quite the challenge. Those supercars are beasts that can be tough to handle. A few of my friends got the game recently, so I'm looking forward to some racing online. As for the single-player portion, I've made it to Level 15, with much more to go. I've been playing an event or two at a time so progress will be slow to come by, but I don't mind too much. It's nice to have a game like this where I can go for 20-30 minutes at a time and still make some progress.
