Official Foreign Releases?

How often do Japanese dramas get released officially outside of Japan (mainly looking for English subbed releases)?

Japanese broadcasters rarely release their dramas outside of Japan. They usually license them to companies like Ember Power in Malaysia who repackages them for foreign market with Malay, Chinese and English subs. You can buy these in the US from companies like Shop KTSLab for about $25.
