Me too,, I alwayz hope that my dreams will come true one day.. :fingerscrossed: wishing to see my lovely Nakai,, and wishing to sing together LIVE with them... So,, when b4 my dream fulfill one day,, I will definetely doing some homeworks b4 I go,, thatz remembering all the lyrics so the songz,,, :victory:

U know last night I dreamt that SMAP had finally announce the releasing date of the new single,, but the date is 12th April.. LOL,, thatz so impossible coz thatz a Thursday,, and one of the JE is releasing a single, too.. :bleh: LOL,, how i wish this dream is true... :grumble: But nvm,, I've decided to buy their old singles this time 1st,, :P So,, the fastest release will be 2nd May... :nut:

Yes,, really,, Tsuyoshi has became so kakkoii these dayz,,, to me,, he's at position 5 as compared with other members in younger dayz,, but now, I think he move up a place,, wins Goro now... :nut:

And my friend asked me if Tsuyoshi was 40+......... zzzzzzzzzz. And why Nakai is so short and ugly. Luckily she said Shingo was TOTALLY her type (I have to say Shingo looks delicious in Sample Bang :muack: ), or else I would have severed all ties with her after all her BAD COMMENTS.

Have you seen the movie with the second audio? It is so funny. Tsu and the director, Higuchi are chatting on watching the whole of the movie.They are so Nakayoshi.
The DVD includes three aidio, the first one is the normal version, second one is by Tsu and the director and the last one is by the director and other staffs. If you haven't,you should try.

YES if you look at the other SMAP members, they haven't aged at all! Okay maybe Goro, but it's not such a drastic change as Kimura! Think he started to age in Beautfiful Life already. Maybe its the marriage that has been speed-ageing him.

But at the end of the day, Kimura still oozes charisma and is still goodlooking. Anyway, the Japanese seem not to care so much about their idols looks don't you think? The hottest musical acts and the best selling albums in Japan: Ayumi Hamasaki, Koda Kumi, Utada Hikaru, SMAP, B'z, Southern All Stars, Mr. Children etc they are not particularly stunning in terms of looks.

Haha, I think looks are number 1 on the list of attributes when it comes to Japanese idols. The thing is most of the people you listed are considered legitimate music acts in Japan and not idols. The most famous and legendary music groups in the world are usually not that great looking. Like the Rolling Stones. They were all butt ugly even 100 years ago when they were still in their 50s. And I'm sure there are plenty of smappies here that think SMAP are amazing looking :mrgreen:

True. But even in idol-wise, I think in Japan, they look a lot more at the persona of the person. Like Dohmoto Tsuyoshi and Nakai, not exactly someone who would make me take a second look if they were non celebrities and I see them on the streets. However, they are like up there on the Japanese celebrity chart because their onscreen personas are highly likeable. Same can be said for Kame and Yamapi. Not particularly goodlooking, very common teenage guy look, but their dorama roles and personas during variety shows shine through.

I agree with you though, then when it comes to female celebrities, looks is more important. Hence, the plastic surgeries for idols like Ayumi and BoA.

But Johnnys are a different breed of idol though because they aren't judged on what they look like now but how they looked when they were pre-teens. Domoto Tsu, Nakai, and Yamapi were adorable when they were boys. And I'm biased against Kame but I know a lot of girls think he's good-looking.

Yeah, females are always judged on how they look...no matter what culture. It sucks.

Yeah I agree, infact Nakai was so cute that he was one of the Super Idols that didn't require an audition!! But what I meant is not how they got into showbiz, but the relationship between their fanbases and their looks. Don't think many fans were on them from the start but only when their personalities started to show... and that was when they were pretty old. Like for my case, I got into SMAP because of Kimura and although I was exposed to SMAP by watching SMAP concert dvds (because Kimura is in it), it took me 3 years to get into SMAP. Though I always thought Goro was handsome, I wasn't lured into fangirling based on their looks. It was only until I started watching SMAPxSMAP that i reached a point of no return. It all started with my intrigue between Takuya-Goro, they seemed cosy and it made me interested. My niban now is Nakai and Goro.

If you have watched Music Station 20th Anniversary, Kimura and Nakai looked the most embarrassed when they were viewing their pre 1995 clips. Especially Nakai, he looked away when it came to him. SO CUTE!!!! Kimura burst out laughing when he saw his old hairstyle. Shingo was adorable too, he didn't seem embarrassed at all and infact he sang along!

A bit out of point here, but the first time I watched Hana Yori Dango, I was thinking how could Matsumoto Jun be Doumyoji!!! He's another Super Idol! I thought he looked so odd and too short to act as someone who is supposed to be tall and handsome. When I checked jdorama.com, I couldn't understand why he was #2... a spot away from the Jdorama King Kimura! Maybe I compared him to much with the Taiwanese F4. But now I think the Taiwanese F4 is so lame and I love Jun so much!!!! He was to die for in HYD2.

Females get judged! Koda Kumi ain't the prettiest, but I like her personality a lot. I like how she is able to be all sexy and wild on stage, but offstage she's just this slightly geeky, chirpy girl.

hmm i guess it's just people have different tastes. even before i knew about jun's personality i thought he was gorgeous. i still think he's gorgeous but not as domyouji. :hehe: curls just don't suit the man. the people in japan have a different view of what a good looking guy is, especially a johnny's so i guess yamapi and kame are good looking to them. but i gotta say, some of their tastes are questionable *coughkamecough* but that was even before he achieved nobuta fame. yeah, he was not the cute one at all in his junior years. and i don't think his personality really shows that much so it can't be the personality for those girls. some people are hot to others while they're nothing special to other people.

i think most of domoto tsuyoshi's fans like him because of his voice. he's a johnny's that actually has a good voice. but i'm sure his eccentricity also attracts quite a few people

oh and btw, i think inaba from b'z is sexy. :mrgreen: can't say much for the other part of the band though.
