um... as far as i know, they were always with avex... :sweat: i just did a review for their last album and i had to research all of their past stuff and i believe it's all avex trax. their first release might not have been but yeah as far as i know, it's avex.

also, i'm planning to get into more eito stuff... i'll probably buy some while i'm in japan. But for right now, I seriously have to save all my money for japan. Which... is going to be very hard for me because I'm horrible with my money.

souka..ermm. So T&T now is under Avex, means they didn;t belong anymore to JE. But why?

Yup, T&T belong to Avex. But I do know that they got heaps of crazy promo because Avex is like that, promoting their artistes like crazy...I don't know why they're with Avex though...At least with eito, they're under an enka label because they produce enka songs and JE doesn't have labels with enka sound, plus they're based in Osaka and JE doesn't have an office in Osaka...

I know that yume monogatari is definitely avex...and that's one of their first singles, so they were with avex trax from very early on.

avex usually has a lot of dance songs... or more so, artists that sing alot of upbeat songs. Of course, that's not all of their stuff but that is always the image I have. IE: V6, T&T, Ayu, Koda Kumi, m.o.v.e, amuro namie, etc etc etc etc. but yeah, for an actual reason for having t&t under avex.. i'm not sure lol.

oo..then why not we ask k8 to go to Avex? :hehe: Avex didn't look like JE isn't it? I mean, the rules. They can married and have their own love life if they go to Avex, isn't it?

I hope Hissatsu gets good rating too, and then it can be a full-season series! It's about time Ohkura in a full-season dorama, instead of giving all the jobs to Ryo...Not that I have anything against Ryo, but...

I really wanna see other SMAP members in more jidaigeki dorama too!

if they make it like the old school hissatsu, it should get pretty good ratings. hissatsu over all as a series did very well on tv and was on for a very long time. But if this special goes well and does end up getting picked up as a season drama again, that seriously would be amazing. Especially since the cast members all have mentioned that they would love for this to be a drama series again and that they would all participate in it.

Avex is a recording label but they're still restricted under JE's so-called 'rules'...JE is still their management agency after all.

Hmm, I wouldn't want eito in Avex though, they won't have this much fun with their enka-ish and rock-ish and blues-y sound the way they are now with Teichiku/Imperial...Teichiku loves them enough to allow them to release a limited single with their first album (KJ! FTO) for Sankyoudai (the sub-unit with Yu, Yassu & Subaru), and to include one of SubaruBAND's song in the album. I don't see Avex giving them that much space the way Teichiku is doing...

yeah, just like it's been mentioned earlier, smap and tokio are also on different labels but of course are still in johnnys jimusho. The johnnys record label is still fairly new. Their first official artist was kinki kids in 1997 so... of course the older groups would not be under that label. i think it's actually a good idea that they have their groups on various labels... and also, when they debuted, arashi was on pony canyon's label... and now that i remember, tokio was actually first on sony's label instead of universal which they transfered to around 2001 or 2002.
