Japan sinks! Proving once again that Japan will never cease to find inventive ways to destroy itself on screen, this summer's blockbuster Sinking of Japan brings apocalypse through tectonics. Based on Sakyo Komatsu's best-selling novel, Sinking of Japan was first put on the big screen in Moritani Shiro's 1973 classic. In 2006, director Higuchi Shinji remakes the disaster movie, taking the story to new levels with a huge budget, stunning CG special effects, and superstars Kusanagi Tsuyoshi (from Smap) and Shibasaki Kou (Memories of Matsuko and Orange Days) in the leading roles.
Due to tectonic plate collisions, Japan is literally sinking into the ocean. Informed that the archipelago will be no more in 40 years' time, the government discreetly tries to arrange for massive migration. Scientist Tadokoro (Toyokawa Etsushi) and submarine pilot Onodera Toshi (Kusanagi Tsuyoshi) soon discover, however, that the sinking is faster than anyone had imagined - Japan will cease to exist in less than a year's time! With earthquakes, tidal waves, and volcano eruptions successively rocking through the nation, hysteria settles in, and it seems much of the population may be wiped out even before the sinking is complete. In the midst of the chaos, Toshi develops a close relationship with young orphan Misaki (Fukuda Mayuko) and dedicated rescue worker Abe Reiko (Shibasaki Kou), who refuses to leave Japan in the face of peril. The one way to save the country is to break off the plate that is pulling Japan into the ocean through strategic deepwater detonations. It is a virtual suicide mission, and Toshi is the only one left who can operate the submarine.

Smap is said to seperate temporary bcoz Johnny's wanna let Kat-Tun to increase more of their popularity.. Now Kat-Tun got 5 members, n Johnny's r afraid that their popularity will get lower.. Smap is not fully under johnny's now, they renew their contract once a year..

Whenever I order SMAP CDs I never really pay attention to whether I'm getting the firs press or not :bonk: as long as I get the CD :hehe:

Short replies for all the flying rumours:

1. Ararara... Nakai was rumoured to marry her ex-OL gf, and now he's rumoured to marry the announcer?? I think it's just a pattern the reporter do^^ Rumours of Nakai dating = spread rumours Nakai will get married ^_^

Don't worry...I have a strong feeling that Nakai-kun will get married someday. But, NOT with Nakano Minako^^


2. SMAP separate?? Actually...I don't think Johnny-san interfere their activities anymore, ever since 1996. And now he's just too busy taking care of his precious KAT-TUN and NEWS^^
What SMAP does will never effect what KAT-TUN does...because they are from a completely different generation. What Arashi/News/Kanjani8 does will kinda effect KATTUN....this makes sense a tiny bit more =P

All SMAP's activities and decisions for them are being taken care by Iijima Michi, their "mother", their ex-manager... Now, she seems to be the producer of everything SMAP working on: albums, concerts, etc. Besides Iijima, there's Nakai 2nd in line to decide SMAP activities, then 3rd in line is the other 4 members.

If Johnny suddenly say SMAP have to temporarily stop their activities because of KATTUN, I think Iijima will definitely confront him and say, "OVER MY DEAD BODY!" :hehe:

Johnny only cares for the money SMAP and Iijima make, he doesn't care what they do or not do. This has been, since 1996.....



For NHK's KOUHAKU UTAGASSEN, I'm 80% sure SMAP will participate and most likely, they will sing 'Arigatou', since this is their new released song. The only reason SMAP refuse to perform in Kouhaku 2004, was because they didn't release any single at all in that year.

Haha, this really makes me laugh! Not to mention that Kame's dorama only fares around 10%-12%. Is Johnny that afraid? Yeah, the groups that can only be compared with KT are Arashi, NEWS and K8. Even K8 is in a kind of different league, they're probably the only idol-comedian group of their generation and their music differs so much from KT.

News like this is really nonsense! There's another one about K8 being KT's replacement for the winter tour just because KT is one member short. That's crazy! They have an entirely different set of fans!
